Hi guys...how far is the Victory Monument bus stop from Nano Plaza, thinking to maybe nightstop BKK ,before going down to HH in the morning, any alternate venues/hotels to stay overnight near the bus stop?
Any news on a direct minibus airport -HH Thanks
i got a taxi from the wooden desk at the end of poolsuk road opposite the side entrance to city beach resort, a very nice (gorgeous!!) lady charged me 2,200 baht to the new airport.... i just wished it had been her driving me... and not the old man i got..... it was a bit of a white knuckle ride....
flyboy 747.... get the skytrain from outside nana plaza, only 25baht and you get off at victory monument in 10 minutes, a good place to stay near nana plaza and skytrain is....siamsmile bar... i was there sept. 25th.. about 1000baht, new rooms, and downstairs has many ladies !!! www.siamsmilebar.com
soi 7, near eden club !!
I just came back from Hua Hin last week. We took taxi from the new airport to Silom costed us about 240 bath plus toll about 60 bath more. So considered cost from airport to Victory monument will cost around 250-300 bath. And van from Victory monument to Hua Hin is 180 bath.
Considered in Malaysia, the cost for taxi from center of town to airport will cost about 75 dollars!!! or a express train will cost 25 dollars.
Bus from Orly airport to Paris will cost you about 10 Euro. Or a taxi from Lax to down town will cost you about 30 to 40 dollars.
Anyhow it is still cheap for using taxi in Thailand.
Guess, I traveled back the other way last week and there is still no direct bus service yet. I would like to try the train but I haven’t had the time to spare. I was traveling in the evening when there was little traffic and the taxi from Victory Monument to the airport was surprisingly quick, only about twenty minutes, and I think 189 baht on the meter.

I guessed that the bus was not running yet but what about the airport train. Quicker and cheaper and will take you straight to Hua Lumpong.
