It was looking great on my iPhone this morning but now, on a different iPhone, the ads embedded between posts are PC browser width with the mobile version squeezed into a column on the left. There's probably zero chance of paying for an ad-free version, this is certainly an improvement over Tapatalk, which was too generic.
Nothing has been removed.

It seems that only Apple mobile users are having problems with the new edition.

We are open to developing an ad free version for Apple users, however it would need to be paid subscription.

The new 16:9 screens are made to watch movies, but not very suitable to read or work.

In the new forum layout I see a large horizontal advertisement (in my case Agoda) which covers much too much (aprox 20%) of the already limited screen height.

I would appreciate if can use tapatalk again when connecting from a tablet, much more convenient to read.

In your User Control Panel/Board Preferences, there is an option to automatically adjust width - have you tried that?

Tapatalk is being looked at.

Some feedback...

The layout is generally a lot nicer, and the adaptive style is appreciated. There are a couple of minor issues, though.

Firstly the 'forum has new posts' icon is a little hard to distinguish - as it is the same colour as the forum's icon itself. On the old layout it was a little yellow icon which was much easier to make out.

Secondly, the 'go to latest post' icon seems to be a bit smaller than it was on the old layout (could just be an optical illusion - or bad memory on my part!). Again it doesn't quite stand out - and I'd imagine it's pretty hard to hit when using a mobile or tablet.

Yes, I did.
It would be nice if the advertisements could be arrange on the right side, a lot of space there

Using the view new posts link alleviates the need to pay attention to the post icons.

Tapatalk has now been reinstalled

We recommend iPad users download and use the app to browse the forum.

Another way to get someplace quickly and bypass the "quick link" menu is to make your main forum bookmark the place where you want to start each time you visit. for example for unread posts:

search.php?search_id=unreadposts

You can do this for any post category listed under "quick links".

You need to also check the control panel box that you're logged in automatically each time you visit the forum. Pete

I understand the Administrators prefer that their users view the forum in a certain manor, but this is not how I read forums.

I provided feedback that the current format of the icons is confusing. If you want to change it to make it easier, then great. If not then I'll just learn to live with it.

Before the upgrade I had a HHF RSS feed in Microsoft Outlook. New posts would automatically arrive in this feed. Since the upgrade the RSS feed no longer works. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm sure this will anger some people. Sorry in advance.
  • I've now tried this website on my iPad using three different browsers, Safari, Chrime and iCab. All give the same result.

It's astounding to me that a for-profit concern would let a new website go live without having first tested it on the full range of popular browsers and platforms. The notion of forcing iOS users to pay for a version that works is laughable.

Just because you can't instantly reproduce an error doesn't mean that there's not a problem. The error messages I posted should be given to the developers so they can decide whether or not there is a problem that needs attention. That's why I posted it.

Using the viewport meta tag is problematic because it requires a complete change in the way you specify the size of web page elements including blocks, frames, fonts, etc. I see your developers experimented with specifying font sizes using percentages but apparently give up and went back to using absolute point sizes.
I'm sorry that this has caused you so many problems just as I'm sorry that my attempts to help were simply brushed off.

Irrespective of forum posters views it's the sponsors that pay the bills and I can't see that they could possibly be happy if a solution to viewing on Apple devices can not be found quickly
