A good few inches at Mom mai last night judging by the fishponds and pool on the downside there is a lake and mud bath where they are widening the road. I had to do some very sideways scooting to get in and out for drinking water this morning. Don't think I'll be doing that again until it dries....lol

I've been extremely jealous reading tales of 'downpours' and 'heavy rain'. Here in Samut Sakhon, the 'Factory of Thailand' (you know how in BKK they put all the furniture shops in the same soi, another soi for electrical goods, another one for fruit - well, they decided to put all bazillion of the factories preparing said goods, in one town. Keeping with the format) it's been nothing but blazing hot, dry and horrible...

... But we DID just have a leak. A two minute one. Like when you think you need to pee but just a dribble comes out. Bit like that.

I thought the heavens were gonna open up good and proper like the stories I'd read, but no such joy.

It was 41 degrees in Surin 2 weeks ago - I am told and generally 10 degrees warmer than here - I shall not be visiting!

Jeez, just had a huge gust of wind like a mini tornado pass through where I am in Bangkok. There is a new high rise construction close by, and at first I thought that it was on fire. But it was just a huge cloud of dust and debris flying off of it.
Very black and stormy looking out towards the airport.

Went through Tha Yang around 10-30 this morning, and ran into a big downpour. Even the Thais where slowing down on the road,(most of them).

My observation for today is despite no rain, the horrible seasonal haze has lifted a bit today. I can see the hills quite clearly through the kitchen window, and it's not because Mrs BB has cleaned them. I hope the improvement is maintained.

We got about five minutes of moderately heavy rain about 5.30 late afternoon, enough to wet the ground but evaporated within the hour - seemed as though the wind was too strong and stopping the rain.

One hell of a storm just now in Bangkok. Thunder, lightening and downpour.

My granddaughter is in Phrae province and she called in a panic last night because of a big storm where she is.

Northeastern people warned of sudden drop of temperature in two days

"The Nation April 20, 2015 4:33 pm
Residents of several northeastern provinces were Monday warned to brace themselves for a possible drop of temperature by 10 Celsius degree when the high pressure mass or cool temperature from China crashes with the extreme wave heat of some 40 to 42 degrees in the region on Tuesday or Wednesday."

This should result in cooling showers and storms for the rest of the country by the weekend. Pete....keeping fingers crossed!
