Several weather sites are forecasting thunderstorms for Saturday and Sunday in Hua Hin. Even AccuWeather (which rightly or wrongly I always consider the least accurate, after Thai met office).

So far a beautiful night with some lightning in distance west over the mountains and east out over the ocean.

I know we say every year that it is hotter than last year but 50 degrees .... really? That has to be the hottest I've ever seen it ...

Thought yesterday was maybe the hottest day of the year here in HH.
Went by the weather centre and its digital readout was showing 34-35 but mind you it never seems to go above that.

Temperature readings given by all the weather stations are shade temperature. To get an accurate reading you need to move the digital thermometer inside and under cover.

Hey, it was 55 here yesterday! Oh, but that was the low (in Fahrenheit) last night. The high yesterday was 82 F... near perfect weather; cool nights for great sleep and warm sunny days. It's been 5 weeks now since I had to use any temperature control in my house other than a ceiling fan in the warmer part of the afternoon. :butt: :neener:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Talking about temperatures....our hot water machines haven't been used for about 2 months now. I was curious what our water temp was when set on full cold. 30C  That's what happens when a municipal water system has pipes only buried about a foot underground I guess, as is our water tank. At least we're saving some electricity by the water heaters not kicking in.....offset of course by unusually high use of air conditioning. Pete

Not very heavy, but we've had rain for most of the morning, hope it keeps going all day unless the heavens open up a bit more

I think it's coming straight across west to east as I have had it in Rayong all morning and it continues now. Wife drove to Bangkok and said she ran out of it on the motorway and nothing in Bangkok at the moment. Pete

The heavens did open up - I reckon about 3cm judging by the swimming pool, just what the garden needed.
