I still think the pessimism was warranted. Your counter view of most games has given me a bit of a complex, so after the Globlex match, I asked a lot of people what they thought - every one of them agreed it was a shambles, and the coach had his tactics wrong. Or at least the Globlex coach had his tactics right and we didn't change our tactics accordingly.

I still maintain that our new coach has done a brilliant job transforming the team from kick and rush players to a proper footballing side, and I believe with his national Coach hat on, he will bridge the gaps (tall midfielders?) in the forthcoming transfer window. If he hadn't come along when he did, I hate to think what Simork and Sakhon Nakhon would have done to us. Wearing a Hua Hin City shirt does not guarantee success alone - we needed somebody to pull our undoubted pool of talent together, and I'm happy we've got the right person in that position.

Pessimistic or not, today's team is not team we had several weeks ago before we secured our new coach.

What I agree on is that we are well placed to have a fantastic second half of the season. However, we mustn't under estimate Phetburi - it's a local derby, and they are our bogey team.

This week's visit to Khao Takiab to look at progress on the new stadium.

At last I can make some sort of sense regarding what is going on when comparing with the drawings/artists impression.

I think only winning 2 out of 6 home games so far confirms good reason for pessimism.

I see our 3 Brazilians were segregated from the rest of the squad in training this morning. Is this anything to worry about, or were they just late for work?

GD, you've normally got your finger on the pulse - any news please?

It was early this morning, but as far as I know, usually starts about 16:00.

The coach they were working with only takes care of warm ups and warn downs and helping injured players recover and regain full fitness. Lucas was injured and had been told he could not play for two weeks. Hopefully his recovery has been quicker than expected and they are trying to get him fit for the weekend. Worth the risk with the break coming up. Andre came off injured on Saturday and Diego regularly has muscle niggles. So I would think nothing more than that.

The team generally train twice a day most days. The morning session starts at 8am and the afternoon session at 4pm.

Thanks BB, this illustrates my point perfectly. I would have been saying we have only lost one game at home all season. The positive take on the same situation. Glass half full or half empty!

Phrase it whichever you wish, we have lost 9 points out of 18 so far at home, or should I say, we've won 9 points out of 18?

I'd never make a politician, I'd rather say it as it is, rather than put a spin on it. :)

Plenty of good news from the training ground today. Only No.29 and No. 16 didn't play in the practice game. 29 has a sprained ankle and 16 has a problem with his left foot. Lucas and Anucha both played the whole game and didn't look to be in any difficulties. Wongsawad and No.15 were also both back but probably the best news was Sato kicked his first ball in anger for over 2 month playing half the game. The team for this weeks game with Petchaburi looks like being as last Saturday but with Lucas and Anucha returning for No. 29 and Yongsak but it's only Tuesday and things may change.

Again. I notice the Brazilian's segregated at this morning's training. I can only assume they're still living in a hotel, and are restricted by breakfast serving times. Often when working away from home in the UK I experienced similar problems.
