I've searched the internet but I cannot find a definitive answer.
I have a non imm O visa based on retirement which expires 29/01/16.
My next 90 day report is due on 17/06/15, however I am leaving Thailand on 04/06/15 and due to return on 24/6/15. I have obtained a single re entry permit.
What permission to stay date do I get stamped in my passport on my return ?

I'm not sure I understand - the 90 day report is merely a formality notifying the authorities that you are still in Thailand. It has nothing to do with your permission to stay.
Do you receive 12 monthly extensions? Presumably, as you still have permission to stay for another 7 months. If so, and if you have a reentry permit (if you don't, you must GET ONE before you travel), you'll be given permission to stay until 29/01/16.
Don't worry about the 90 day reporting - go to immigration 90 days after you return.
EDIT: If you look at the 90 day form, the crucial statement is "I have now been staying in Thailand for 90 days and my address is ..."

Yes, your permission to stay date will not change on re-entry. Just the same as you have at the moment.
No need to worry about 90 day reporting as you won't be here for 90 consecutive days. The 90 days start again on the day you re-enter. That's day 1, BTW. And you'll have to count the days yourself. Swampy or border officials won't put another reporting slip in your passport. Also, don't throw the old one away.

OK guys, got it, thankyou. I didn't want to screw up my visa.
