Kaeng Krachan Country Club is now ThaiDiamondLand. It's the same place as KK golf course. (081-585-3499)

On their website there is a 'map' that shows 'Item 29' is a football pitch. http://thaidiamondland.com/index_page.php?page=1

I think their map may be rotated (top is south-west) but I can't relate it directly to a real map of the area but the shapes of the roads do match quite closely with the shapes of the real roads round about the KK golf clubhouse.

In the few times I've been there I've never seen a football pitch, but then again, I've never seen the airport that is signposted either.

Google maps co-ords for KKCC are 12.883211, 99.757012.

Edit - The ThaiDiamondLand development is here (12.899928, 99.688744) which is the entrance to the road that eventually gets to the golf course and there is something that could pass for a football pitch with a running track round it.

The club have provided a map, which tells me the ground is near an Outlet. Sabai Sabai (or one of you other clever guys), can you translate any more please?

I have found what looks to be a football ground in the right sort of area that the map indicates. If you type Wat Nong Khao On into google maps the pitch is on the same road to the south between the Wat and Petch Varin Resort. Could be wrong, the definition is poor close up.

The Outlet is Premium Outlet and the 1000 is "1000 Sook Farm and Restaurant"

The 'football pitch' is (may be) at Wat Nong Chum Sang here (12.874973, 99.844762) I think, near Khao Look Chang.

Again, the quality and detail of Thai maps never fails to amaze/amuse me.

We should have a new Challenge thread - Locate the place accurately using only a Thai style map and Google Maps..

Edit : There's a brand new (at the time the satellite was there) football pitch right at Khao Luk Chang here 12.820680, 99.798670 but I don't think that really follows the vague layout of the driving directions on the map, but then the Nong Chum Sang place only barely meets the basics of the directions as well.

Thank you GD. I've tried following your directions, but the best I can come up with is this (I can't see a football stadium, or even a pitch for that matter):

Right area. Follow the road south towards the river crossing. Pale green rectangle on he right of the road before the river. On reflection it may be too small to be a pitch

Thank you Frank, so it's nearer Cha-Am :? . Both of the above look likely, with the first sounding favourite. I'll put both co-ords into the SatNav, and if nobody comes up with something better, I'll give it a go (it's nowhere near as far as Kaeng Krachan).

If either location is right I have to wonder why? I thought originally we might be trying to meet the other side half way, but playing in the wilderness........................ :?

I reckon I can see it, type in Khao Luk Chang. You can see the stadium. There appears to be a fairly direct 'back route' from Palm Hills/bypass. Tried to attach a screenshot but failed! Closer than when we had to go to Tha Yang

It's not quite as wild as Kaeng Krachan but either location seems like an odd choice when there is a stadium just south of Tha-Yang, just at the end of what used to be Tha-Yang airport (12.961778, 99.898912) but the directions wouldn't lead you there.

I see no stadium there, but I see a lot of ghostly images - what the hell are they? e.g.:

That's a huge cemetery - Chinese.

Go west until you hit the 'main' north/south road then come south until you get to Tha Mai Ruak, westward of the road is what looks like a brand new sports pitch with two bright blue five-a-side pitches next to it.

Yeah, that's the one I'm looking at, close to Tha Mai Ruak police station.

The only thing that's puzzling me is on the map they published, it seems closer to Wat Nong Kao On but you actually don't have to go as far as that. Much closer to Khao Luuk Chang.

It has to be the correct one we're looking at, as it's the only one in the area.

OMG :banghead: The ghostly figures have gone, and I seem to be looking somewhere completely different.

Why the hell are they making it so difficult for supporters? I'm getting the feeling of why bother? They don't seem to be helping. I actually thought things were making sense when we had "The Outlet is Premium Outlet and the 1000 is "1000 Sook Farm and Restaurant."

I think I have about 5 different locations they might be playing - time to switch off laptop and give my brain a rest - bonkers. If they don't want support, why advertise the game in the first place?
