Half time, 2 nil Tonburi. It's been all Tonburi pressure thus far, no shots on goal at all from Seemok.

Similarly windy conditions to yesterday though, wind at Tonburi's back in first half, and indeed assisted somewhat with their first goal.

Being a 6 year native of the boys at Samut Sakhon, I was expecting them to put you in your place today. You got lucky this time. :D

Fully deserved as well, Seemok created a couple of chances in 2nd half but Tonburi created the better ones and should have added to their tally.

I seen nothing to suggest they were a great team when they visited us earlier in the season, same today. I'm actually quite surprised it's their first defeat of the season!

By the way, it seems I've been given dud information with regards the top 2 playing each other next weekend, that was what was being said and discussed on the bus home yesterday. However the commentator on the game there stated that Seemok are actually at home to Petchaburi next weekend.

A bit late with my thoughts on Saturdays game but more important issues took precidence yesterday but here goes. We must be moving in the right direction now as I agree with much of what BB has already said about the match.

With Andre suspended (one game for 5 yellow cards) and Pu injured as well as a few other changes the Hua Hin team that took to the field had an unfamiliar look about it. The two new Krabi boys, No. 38 Watcharapong and No. 39 Veerayut, both started up front and No. 34 Nattapong in midfield.

On a dreadful pitch and in difficult windy conditions Hua Hin were put under pressure in the first half. Samut Sakhon dominated both possession and territory but fortunately didn't really create a clear cut chance. Hua Hins two new strikers were very isolated in the first half and when they did get the ball they had very little support but still managed to get a few shots off. I think the windy conditions dictated that Hua Hin played deep not wanting to get caught out by the ball over the top which Samut Sakhon played many times in the first half.

This proved to be the case once the second half got underway with Hua Hins back four defending on the half way line. As much as Samut Sakhon had dominated the first half we now had the upper hand. We were creating chances and putting the opposition under pressure. We were getting more free kicks and corners the majority of which were delivered with precission by Michael Byrne. It was from one of his corners that the goal eventually came. A ball played deep to the far post eluding the opposition defence was controlled brilliantly first time by Dusit (No. 33) and hammered home. A great goal and fully deserved. Lucas, who had come on as sub, almost made it two after racing onto a through ball and lobbing the keeper. Somehow a defender got back to put the ball out of play from almost his own goal line.

With time running out and deep into stoppage time it looked job done only for the referee to award the home team a penalty at the death. The mood of everyone, players and supporters alike, turned to despair. Thanks to the man in black, who had been dreadful all afternoon and must have been going home with a big wedge in his pocket, gave the home team a chance to deny Hua Hin a three point return. With the boo's ringing out from the Hua Hin supporters up stepped the Samut Sakhon player only to see his shot brilliantly saved by Annop. Justice was done. Despair turned to elation in an instant for all connected with Hua Hin. There was barely time to restart the game, that was it, finished, a fantastic result and performance from the lads.

I thought all the team played exceptionally well today sticking to and carrying out the game plan. The coach deserves huge credit. A mention too for the new players, Nattapong (No. 34), Watcharapong (No. 38), Veerayut (No. 39) and Choi (No. 1), who all played their part in their first games and look excellent additions to the squad.

I would like to give credit to all the fans for their tremendous support of the team. On a day when many of the more senior members of the drummers, chanters and singers could not make the game the mantle was taken up superbly by the youngsters in generating a fantastic noise throughout the game. Well done to you all.

In modern day football it is all too familiar that supporters are divorced from their club. It was fantastic to see the players and fans celebrating together in mutual respect at the end of the game. There have been some great photo's of players and supporters together and particularly of Annop being treated as a hero as he rightly was.

The bus back to Hua Hin was jumping. Music, dancing, singing and a big bucket of whisky doing the rounds. This is what football is all about. A fantastic day. Thank you so much Hua Hin FC.

 I don't know if I was still shaken up by the bus from hell, or whether I was so 'tensed up' for this important match, but I didn't even notice that it was windy  A couple you guys say it was, so I'm not disagreeing - I just didn't notice :D

A very poor video, depicting the smooth ride we all enjoyed, but also showing the party atmosphere all of the way home. It helped make the slow journey a little more bearable.

The new stadium, 22 weeks on.

Mostly cosmetic changes this week. This week's major enhancement is the fitting of the floodlights - something Hua Hin City have never had during my 3 years supporting them.

Hmmm, I thought drinking in a vehicle was against the law. Nice to see the King's city are openly flouting that law. :?

As is riding a motorcycle without a helmet. Thais will always do what Thais will do. The Thais were having a fantastic time - I certainly wouldn't have wanted to spoil the celebrations.

I ignored your first comment as it was not worthy of remark but your second has spurred me into action.

Everyone who writes on here about Hua Hin City FC give their honest, heartfelt, passionate and varied opinions which give both credit where credit's due and also a critical word when necessary. Peoples opinons whilst not always agreed with, are acknowledged, appreciated and debated by the others.

If you care to check back to the posts about the first game between Hua Hin and Samut Sakhon at Fort Thanarat everyone praised Samut Sakhon for being the good team that they are and what a good game of football it was. Saturdays game was equally enjoyable again between two good sides.

You expected SS to put us in our place. Well they didn't. We were lucky. No we weren't, far from it. Over the ninety four minutes even with the influence of an obviously "bought" referee Hua Hin were the better side and deserved the victory on the number of chances created. Did SS create one decent chance in the whole game? Not to my recollection. There was no luck about it.

To follow up with comments about the Hua Hin supporters celebrations on the way home is so petty, particularly refering to breaking the law and the King's city. There was no drunkenness or bad behaviour just a group of passionate people enjoying themselves and celebrating a great victory in a well behaved manner.
