Suspected meteor lights up Thai skies

A friend of mine in Pattaya was reporting that he'd been sat in his garden drinking beer with a friend when he saw it - that was about 25 minutes before the news broke.

Apparently it's known as Comet Lovejoy

^^ Sorry, I don't get it. The actual Comet Lovejoy is currently more than 600 million kilometers away from here.

You may well be right, all I know is that I was shown a video clip this morning by my wife's son showing the "shooting star" and it was headed "Comet Lovejoy" - seems they may have got it wrong?
