Feedback from the many top players he has managed throughout his career suggest his relationship with his players is generally excellent and completely at odds with his media personality, much of which is designed to take the pressure off the players. I do however agree that the pressure that he and the players are under is taking it's toll. This is new territory for him and you do wonder if he is equipped to deal with it and turn things around.prcscct wrote:Perhaps the Chelsea players are simply sick of Mourinho's abusive style, personality, everything. Wouldn't be the first time in sports a group of players simply didn't care and shut down. Pete

There was a discussion on Sky Sports with a group of journalists who suggested that the siege mentality he likes to portray has gone so far that there is no point trying as the FA, the media, UEFA and the rest of the world are against them.

I always say it`s better to post a comment after the match so as not to look a complete plonker. Impossible to enjoy a match until the final whistle, and that depends on the outcome!

Re: Premier League 2015-2016
I'm not up for today's game really. Yes... we're unbeaten in the league (an own goal in the first game still means that no-one has 'beaten us ), but the Arse are doing really well right now. Firing with all cannons. Really tough game.
Saying this, I think that we may become the new Invincibles this year. Contradict myself much? Nah!
All this is irrelevant though, as every football fan will just be smiling at Crappy Chelsea. All the money in the world yet - absolutely feckin' wasted. Money can't buy class.
Their youth uprising is pretty shite too. The end of Roman's millions.
Brilliant.

Nothing wrong with pinning ones colours to the mast before a game - irrespective of result - it makes you a supporter, not a plonker.arcadianagain wrote:I always say it`s better to post a comment after the match so as not to look a complete plonker. Has the makings of a good game.

On their first half performance Spurs should have won, they outplayed Arsenal in all respects, but a game lasts 90 minutes and Spurs were hanging on in the end and were happy to waste time.

Still we remain unbeaten which is creditable and we stopped your lot from going top.........arcadianagain wrote:On their first half performance Spurs should have won, they outplayed Arsenal in all respects, ...........AGREED...........but a game lasts 90 minutes and Spurs were hanging on in the end and were happy to waste time.............with 3 games in the last seven days who could blame them

Re: Premier League 2015-2016
I had my doubts before the game and they were realised, the most jaded performance for a while and for 70 minutes we were out fought, out played and looked beaten.
We were there for the taking and a second goal would have done it.
Seems the spuds ran out of steam and the last 20 minutes we could have won it
, undeserving as it would have been.
The lack of depth in the squad, the hangover from the trouncing in Munich and the amount of injuries to key players has certainly taken their toll.
I don't say this often, but thank f**k for the pointless international break coming up

Re: Premier League 2015-2016
I agree about the depth of the squad, but I believe any club is only allowed a pool of 25 players and how many were out injured? Plus 2 "has-beens", Flamini and Arteta came on and galvanized the team to give it some backbone. I wonder if Wenger will buy, if anyone is available, in January. For all the negativity Arsenal are still joint top, it could be worse, we could be Chelsea fans.
