Two unusual Sights

Was driving to the beach, crossed a river-bridge and spotted either a crocodile or alligator swimming in the water below. Got to the beach to spot a bunch of monks going on a banana boat! Have you seen any unusual sights recently? :shock:

Are you sure it wasn't a monitor lizard? They can get pretty big. The monks on the banana boat though, wish I'd seen that! :laugh:

Would say that Dawn is right, i have seen monitors over 5 feet long, Crocs are almost extinct in this area - they can be found in Kreang Kachan.

It certainly could have been a huge lizard if they can grow to over 5 feet long. Are monitor lizards goanna's? I wish I had taken my camera with me, particulary to show the monks on the banana boat!

They can get real big for sure, bit like a goanna but bigger.

Just heard a report ( unconfirmed) that today a 5 ft lizard resembling a crocodile was seen skippering a banana boat full of monks today .
Just awaiting for confirmation.

We regularly see monitor lizards 2 metres long and more on our electric boat trips up the Pran Buri river!

I saw a monitor lizars at least 5 feet long cross the road at palm hill golf course there are signs all over the course warning of them
The next day i saw a cobra at least the same length cross the road in exactly the same spot
it was a few years ago though :thumb:
