Premier League 2015-2016
Re: Premier League 2015-2016
There's some film on BBC this morning of when the incident with the Doctor happened. She's walking down the sideline behind him after he apparently chastised her, and as she passes him she seems to let loose with a few choice 4 letter words, at least if my lip reading and facial expression reading is any good. I don't agree with that. There were issues pre-season, a late start, the numbers of games played, players coming back overweight - Costa and Hazard visibly so. Some players had a very, very short pre-season. We started off the pace and we have never recovered. I have said this repeatedly on here.Zidane wrote:It started going pear shaped for him at Stamford Bridge with his shoddy treatment of the club doctor,Dr.Eva Carneiro.
Obviously the Doctor thing didn't held and I have heard she may be due for a return.
But the pressure on Mourinho appeared evident from the outset, I suspect linked to knowing the reality of the limitations of his squad and with only Falcao coming in, before the late signing of Pedro. It seems we didn't get any of our targets and I suspect Jose knew he was in for a rough ride and that pressure more than anything, accounts for his at times, extraordinary behaviour.
However, the flip side to that, is that his limitations as a manager were exposed. We released Lukako and De Bruyne, who are now both playing really well for Everton and City respectively and have sent too many very highly rated young players on loan, because he seems unwilling to give them a run, or they stay as squad players and never progress. This is not what the hierarchy at Chelsea want to see. We still have a lot of top young talent at the club.
If ever there was a time to give the younger players there chance it was now. But we still get the same old same old even when it's apparent some players are really struggling, or else he tries established players in different position, such as Hazard and Fabregas, On saying that, I don't think the situation is now ideal to blood the next generation, but Hiddink might think differently. But I suspect he will use many of the same players, just change the tactics. Time will tell.
And to be blunt, some of the playing staff should be hanging their heads in shame.
Finally, as a Chelsea and Jose fan, I feel really saddened about what has happened. Everyone was wishing for last season to be the start of a long and successful reign for Mourinho, but it just wasn't to be. I suspect he's actually pleased it's over.
On the plus side, look at our history of overcoming diversity in the past, normally we win something when change happens mid season. I'd settle for a good league run now, but a cup would be nice!

If Chelsea (players) start playing to the ability that they're capable of - it shows that the team players had absolutely no respect for their manager and were trying to lose.
A sorry state of affairs however it works really.
A sad day for football when the players control the club. Beginning of the end. Thanks Chelsea!

Fair play to the 'real' Chelsea fans.
The guys go 3 up against Sunderland and they, quite rightly, get booed. The chants 'where were you when we were shit' belting round the stadium.
Sad, sorry team. They have lost their soul (in football terms).

Leicester's achievement is admirable. Always nice to see a no-hoper up in the mix. Swansea did it a few seasons ago (or was it last season). Leicester will finish 6th or 7th as the season goes on. They simply don't have the squad to compete. Adrenaline can only go so far unfortunately.

^^I think you'll find most Spurs fans will still want you to lose when you're in the Championship in a couple of years...

You do know don`t you DM that Arsenal are already in the Championship, the European Championship, that is. Do you remember when Tiny Tots were in it once?

What I find amusing (sorry, no intention of hurting anyone's feelings) is that the Spuds supporters enjoy giving Arsenal fans bad vibes whenever they can but if the reverse happens, they feel so hurt. Just wondering.
