Lots of women play Pickleball as well, three sessions per week. Only 100 baht per session! great fun and great value.
Hua Hin has something for everyone
Cheers Paderborn

There are 3 courts close to me that opened about 5 months ago. I drive past them regularly, but I've only seen one court in use on one occasion. Certainly the courts near me on Soi 88 don't seem to be that popular.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 3 - 3 Preston NE (was 3-0 down after 48 minutes)

We have a regular game of pickleball every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at the badminton courts near immigration on soi 31? from 10am til 1pm, during high season we have around 30 regulars, off season around 16,. Expat woman make up half of the players..hua hin pickleball on facebook.
Here is a short Pickleball video, for those who are curious or just want to try it. https://youtu.be/qmYF67dqNaQ
It is a great game!! Lots of enjoyment and a bit of friendly competition.
They are a good crowd that play in the sports hall near immigration, they enjoy some good sporting fun, and are very welcoming to new players. There are people there who will teach you to play. Just 100 baht per session!
The courts on soi 88 are okay very early morning or after dark...during the day here it is too darn hot! Which is why they may seem empty most of the time.
I sincerely hope the OP gives it a go!!
Cheers paderborn

fancypants wrote:i arrive first week of june and spend the first week looking for a condo....any suggestions on that one?
Sounds like you are on the right track. We resisted the temptation to source accommodation via the Internet prior to arriving in Hua Hin from Oz. On arrival we stayed in a hotel for about 10 days whilst looking around. We did the rounds of the property agents who were generally speaking quite helpful. We ended up finding a property that met our needs at a very reasonable price from an private advertisement placed on the street (Soi).

thanks for that pst....yeah i'm not sure if i want to be in HH central or khao takiab....definitely want to be close to beach and food places etc... i've never spent any time at khao takiab but i've been told its nice....
you enjoying your time there....sounds like its been pretty damn warm...
We have ended up in between on Soi 102 which gives us easy access to both Khao Takiab and most importantly market village where we can get a quick lunch at one of the food courts and relax in the air conditioning on the warmer days, saving our walk on the beach for later in the afternoon. We do run into a few Australians and the the occassional Kiwi at market village during lunchtime. Having spent time in Outback Queensland the heat is of little problem but the humidity is taking some getting used to.
I do agree with you that the heat is of no big concern, but the humidity right now is a killing factor.
At least for me.
But what has this to do with Ex-pat women in Hua Hin?
Back to topic please.
Guys! I'm an Expat woman in HH!
I'm twenty and in dire need of some interaction. I'm freshly dumped, can't speak thai and don't know where to find friends.
I like shopping and food and wine and exercise and beaching.
What's good in Hua Hin?
