Having seen the photos, it reminds me of last year when my daughter had her 2nd child. I'd like to share that experience and ask if its common in Thailand, or whether it was because she had the baby on the cheap?
My daughter insisted on going to Hua Hin Hospital because it would only cost her 30 Baht (I must add that this was not my choice - entirely hers). She had the baby at about 1pm. We were told that we could visit at 6pm. However, when we arrived visitors had to wait outside, and the mothers had to carry their babies to the waiting crowds. I couldn't decide whether this was the norm for Thailand (maybe nursing mothers inside), or whether it was peculiar to this particular hospital.
Once she had the baby, and everything was OK, we moved mum and baby to a private hospital where visiting had no limits, in fact my son spent the night in the room with his sister.
Can anybody shed any light on this please?

JG, we were in 415 so opposite you, Luke was in 417 two years ago so we've had our share of time in that place! We'll have to meet up for a cold one and some baby chat!
BB, no experience with HH hospital but I know San Paolo charges over double for the same operation and room, coupled with the fact they dont have 24 hour doctors we chose Petcharat. If your daughter had a private room visitors should have been allowed to come and go at anytime, or even stay there for a few days.
