Pies in Hua Hin
Pies in Hua Hin
I have just eaten the best Pork Pie I've tasted since leaving UK. I'm still speechless! And it was here in Hua Hin made by a Thai lady.

Not quite a Hamburger, so Mods may want to move this, but was this from a commercial establishment or sourced privately?Matlot wrote:I have just eaten the best Pork Pie I've tasted since leaving UK. I'm still speechless! And it was here in Hua Hin made by a Thai lady.

Re: The best Pork Pie in Hua Hin
I've no idea about the pie you had Matlot, but the pork pies at Hua Hin Ham & Bacon are incredible.
I was out with my son 2 weeks ago, and he chose Pork Pie from a menu, and it was the most disgusting pork pie I've ever tasted (he insisted I try a bit because it was so bad). So there are obviously good and bad out there.

Really would not say H&B pies are incredible at all. Rather bland in fact.
Matlok you don't exactly give many clues as to who the vendor is or where the establishment is.

I would, but then again, we all have different tastes. I've not found anything to match them in Hua Hin.StevePIraq wrote:Really would not say H&B pies are incredible at all. Rather bland in fact.
I'm not saying I haven't tasted better in the UK, but the H&B are a very good substitute. However, I have tasted much worse.

People ask where these pies can be purchased but you do not answer - this is the most important question?Matlot wrote:BB never had a pie from H and B but like you I'm only going on what I had yesterday and all I can say is that it was perfect. She has a fb page you should check it out. Apparantly she's only just started making them.

I did as I was told and found it on Facebook - simples. Nice photo, very little information - typical Thai marketing actually.

Re: The best Pork Pie in Hua Hin
You guys need to have a pork pie blind taste-off. Pies from 3 sources, judges from the UK where the dish is common, neutral judges with no attachment to the entrants even if the competition is blind (info tends to leak here ). Results with photos or video posted on here. Pete

This the greatest thread of all time! Not one bit of information has passed.

This is like a game of hide & seek, or pass the parcel, only in this case it's a pork pie.
