Days Out around Hua Hin
Days Out around Hua Hin
What has been your best day's outing around Hua Hin?
For me it was the river trip organised by Mermaid.
The morning is spent downriver to see the mangroves. Then there is an excellent seafood lunch before the upriver cruise to see the fat monitor lizards and spectacular birdlife.
It was a stroke of genius for them to acquire an electric boat so that the wildlife is not warned of the boat's approach.
What other great day trips can members suggest?

Try Hua Hin Fishing Lodge and day trips to Samut Songkhram and/or Ratchaburi.

hello to everybody I'm new to the area and have never written to a forum before but I feel I must say that I too have enjoyed a day out with the lads at mermaid cruises
me and the wife took a trip to Monkey Island on their sea boat (I think it was called "the peacock") there was a really mixed bag of nationalities on board and everyone had a really good time
but the icing on the cake for me was when we saw the local school of dolphins
now I know I had over indulged myself with the beerchang but I'm sure they were pink

Day Trips
I often look at the map of HH and surrounds.
The large area of water known as Pran Buri Dam looks to have the potential to be a massive attraction. I can picture mountains, waterfalls beautifull picnic spots and swimming in cold water on a hot day.
Not to mention camping, canoing, waterskiing. sailing. I could go on and on.
Is it possible to drive there and have a look?

Yes, my son-in-law has taken me fishing there before - I spent most of the day soaking up the scenery and sleeping. Didn't catch a thing!Could have sworn I saw people fishing there?

Hi all, for me its gotta be The Waterfall. On My first visit I ventured to this place ( PA LA U) I may have got the spelling wrong. Cost me ten times as much to get in as it did my Thai girlfriend. However, being an old romantic, this is the place where I knew I had fallen for her. It hammered it down on the way back and how she controlled the bike in all that rain I will never know. That was back in November. I came back two weeks later and have been with her ever since. Definately worth the trip. Can one get married up there? See romance is not dead...........
In contrast, here's my son-in-law's first catch when he came to visit us in the UK a couple of years ago:BaaBaa. wrote:Not here they didnt!!Big Boy wrote: The Thais seemed to be content with pulling out tiddlers all day long.![]()
