About two weeks ago there was a display of gate opening things in Hua Hin Market Village outside of Home Pro. I didn’t pay too attention at the time, but I’m sure they had remote control gate motors of some sort.

The two merchants for gate openers I've seen in HH are both in Market Village very near the exit of
HomePro. Both have a very slow gate opener based on machined steel rail being attached to sliding gate
and operated on cogged wheel on electric motor axle. They are quite slow and quite expensive.

I have not come actross of the the type used in Farangland of 1/2 a hp motor operating on sprocket and chain
attached to steel wire pulley. Until I find this, I won't use the rack n' pinion available in HomePro floor in M.V.
I've had a regular Sears door opener past 20 years with never a problem with it.

I get the girlfriend to open the gate for me and that works fine as well!

Bozzman, she does get a bit wet sometimes, but not as wet as she did before I bought the truck and she had to go everywhere on a Honda Wave!
Actually it’s just a matter of being practical as I drive, when she ferries me back from town on the motorbike at night, I open the gate for her.
