Regal Thailand?

Post by ota »

The real estate company 'Regal Thailand' is involved in at least two developments: Crystal View and Golf Village.
The standard of the construction and choice of materials seems to be in the upper end of the market - but does anybody know about the reliablity and reputation of this company?

Regal Property

Here is my take on Regal Property:

They are a new company, roughly about 15-16 months old. But they have a longer history.

Word has it that they used to be another company altougher situated in the Hua Hin Business Center. There were 5 or 6 partners involved in everything from building houses to publishing.

Then sometime in the early part of last year, the partners split under semi-hostile terms. A couple of the partners stayed at the HHBC, and you can still currently find them there. I believe they are a property development company now.

Another couple of the partners moved to a factory at the end of Phetkasem.

Now, Regal property has opened a new property office close to the Hilton hotel. You can easily spot it because it very nicely decorated on the outside and inside with granite tiles and waterfalls and decorating.

Regal is really 2 parts. There is the developer... who you can talk with at anytime by going into their offices. And there is the money man. The guy that you don't see.

I can say that the developer is honest, reliable, and very likable. However, the Swede behind the scenes is a different story. In my opinon he is huge snob, lies through his crusted teeth, and really cares about nothing other than money.

It is funny because he bought a house about 2 years ago and tried to sell it last year, but couldn't for ages. Turns out that most people knew that it was his and wanted nothing to do with it. It's funny that a guy building houses couldn't even sell his own. Had it been the developer's, it would have sold in a few days!

You are right though, they do use high quality material because that is what the developer demanded. Their Villas are really unique to HH area, and most have been customized by their owners during the construction phases.

If you want to really know, ask to speak with some of the property owners and get their experiences from them.

As far as their reputation? They are honest and you don't have to worry about getting cheated. You will get what you pay for. But stay away from the Swede.. he is as bad as they get.

Just my 2 cents.

Is the Swede called George?
I used to be indecisive - but now I'm not so sure!

There are some very strange people on this forum (or very sad). Seems to be happening quite regularly that someone replies to a post, e.g. this one (which is 7 yes 7 years old) as if they're responding to a post posted yesterday!!!
The mind boggles!!
