i think the key is here in any country in europe you would not go in to a pub or bar without enough money to pay your bill so why do it in thailand then you stand no chance of being ripped off

That's a real toughie ched. Can you give us a clue. Is there a connection between ripped off and bill. When you get your bill it is usually ripped off from a pad of bills. I can not think of a country in Europe with key in it unless you mean Switzerland where you need a key to unlock the clock or Greece where every man carries the key to his wifes chastity belt while he is out working in the Olive Grove and taking care of his goats.

Sorry I have not been on to put you all out of your misery with the answer to the Sweaty Socks bar question, but have been in the Uk for the last three weeks. Those who guessed anything to do with Scots or Celtic origon were on the correct track.
