My heart was with the Hamsters but with a new manager, playing at home, good record against Manure and about time the bad run of luck came to an end I could not consider Manure.

I knew Chelsea would win but did not have the courage of my convictions to bet on it so about ten minutes before kick off I hurriedly changed both the Liverpool and Arsenal scores and used both chips. I screwed up and did not enter the intended Liverpool win and then put the chips in the wrong place with my banker on Arsenal and my Insurance on Liverpool.

That's my excuse.

Anyway the good news is that Manure are nicely set up for being overtaken at Christmas.

How does IKTS work if you miss a week?

Got big problems with the laptop/modem. Been out of action since late on the 23rd - using an internet cafe now - and an engineer is coming Friday.

I made no entries for boxing days games, but the scores are there, bar tonights game (Charlton), which I have added. If its done automatically, it probably did better than me!!!!

You'll just loose one of your IKTS Lifes, I think the scores entered are the most popular predictions, and your banker bonus and save chips are used the same way.

Too bad mostly everyone seems to have wasted the banker bonus on Chelski this week, one even lost it on Everton. It seems only Manc U Bankers saved their bonus this week.

I've been looking through the previous weeks of some of the higher scorers each week in the Main League, an interesting trait amongst some of them is to play their Banker and Save chip on the same game, I suppose this stops you losing 20 points if you get it wrong, but I wonder if it also saves your banker bonus as well.

I'm prety sure that if you miss all the scores in one week, they're entered for you by the computer, but no banker or insurance is placed.
Interesting point about both on the same game if it's your banker. Not sure about that.

Thanks for the update, now if someone can just explain what must be the most lusicrious error by a linesman that has ever been recorded (the phantom foul/handball) all of five yards in front of him, please do, it cost me 30 points, as I had Charlton to win 2-1.

Whatever angle its looked at, it is just so wrong and inexplicable. I think he was anticipating something that didn't happen and then bottled it by not notifying the ref of his error.

A sad way to end his career. He won't get another game.

This isn't a kop out, but what are your views?

Okay, I'm not doing so well now, the sparkle has gone, I could proffer an excuse but Buksi's latest event knocks it sideways.

But haven't the last few weeks been as unpredictable and interesting as they could be? Its got to the stage that I'm forgetting about my predictions and starting to enjoy the games for what they are again. Tonights Manc/Geordie game being a case in point. It should have been a walkover, it could have been a walkover, but it ended an exciting draw, cost me my banker as well! But I wanted Newcastle to earn the point (and not just 'cos I'm a Chelsea fan).

Maybe I've reached the right balance in my approach to IKTS?

I had my banker on Fulham winning 6-0.
That was lucky.

I suspect caller, if you started using the fantasy football game (organised by the same people), you would be far more addicted than you are with IKTS - to the point of insanity.

Jockey,

I used to be, at work and in a friends league. It did drive me nuts and was too time-consuming. I like the immediacy of IKTS.

To everybody that has lost weeks or not been able to get to a PC in time.

When you are on the prediction home page there is a drop down listbox which specifies then week number. When you have entered your score for the current week and saved them you can click on the drop down list and get next week up, in fact you can get every week until the end of the season.

What I do is always make sure that I am at least two weeks in front. When the date gets closer you can make some tweaks. So even if you miss a week you will have something to score by and have good chance of retaining your banker bonus.

As for my predictions it looks like I am heading for my first ever minus score. Tonight I will be supporting Chelsea and hope that they get revenge on Villa for the draw at Stamford Bridge and secondly I will be an Arsenal support for two hours. For the first time since September I have my banker on Arsenal. So 90 point ride on tonights two matches.

It was looking bad last night, I was at -15. However two correct results and bonus took it to +55.

Anyone going to own up to who they're playing their banker on this week?
