New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport
Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport
90 Day done at Blu Port yesterday. Not at all crowded (two persons ahead of me) and once my number was called it was done in 5 or 6 minutes max. The young man at my booth was very friendly and efficient.
Open at 10am and I would recommend going in the morning. Lineups nothing like the regular Imm office in the area of the Palace.
The waiting chairs have no backs which would probably be pretty uncomfortable for some farangs in a long wait.
The little machine which gives out one's queue number has all the possible options listed on it but when I asked if extentions and other, more complicated options were available he told me 'no' ... only 90-Day and Re-entry stamps at BluPort.
Above in another thread its mentioned that the new Imm office might be opened in July. Talking about this to the Imm dude yesterday he said "September ... maybe". Who knows?

Just one more reason why I love living in Thailand ...

Yesterday the woman at the office said the main office would be open at the end of July. I'm sure that each time you ask a different person you'll get a different answer. Thais are not allowed to say, I don't know.
I also asked about and re-entry visa and was told it costs 1000B. Nice scam.

The re-entry permit costs 1000 Baht already a long time. No scam.

Re: Junta to launch nationwide corruption complaint center
What is the connection between Bluport Immigration and anti-corruption drive. I have never been exploited by immigration
Re: New Hua Hin Immigration office at Bluport
There's a farang up in Korat who positively purrs when talking of how he slips 500 baht in his passport when passing it for examination, to 'ease the process'. Even though he qualifies for a visa extension. So I guess that's what they mean.
Talk is cheap

He's is just one-upping the people he tells the story to. I wonder whether he even does it.

Some people are just rotten to the core and unredeemable and have no desire or want to do things right or do good.
Things are going to get a lot worse before they start get to better, and i'm not just talking about Thailand there is no shortage of rotten people in the world.

I'm pretty sure re-entry permit is 1900 baht, and as mentioned below, Multi Entry 3800 baht.pitsch wrote:The re-entry permit costs 1000 Baht already a long time. No scam.
