Hi Dawn

I'd come & pick you up but I'm gonna be a tad busy!

We have just had our second set of temporary signs knicked - so I'm a bit pissed off - anyway

We are in luck, because the Wat which you pass less than 1km from our front gate (Wat Ni Ko) is having a huge party next week and there are two big coloured arches on the route to it. You cannot miss them.

Easiest way is to go out on the Pa La U Road and keep checking the km marks on the RHS. After km 7 there is a right turn in the crook of the bend (currently with the huge arch over it - second one when coming from town). Take this right turn and you will see a sign Ban Wang Bot 3.5km - this is the correct road. After 1km you will see Wat Ni Ko on the LHS and the tarmac road does a right turn.

Go straight on - on the dirt road - and we are 900m around the left bend on the LHS.

Give me a call if you get any problems

Cheers

OK

Last posting before tonight.

Looks like we have more than 40 attending - should be a nice gathering.

Fridge is full of beer, wine & soft drinks.

The cook has been up half the night getting stuff prepared

Still have a couple of 'swims' left if any anglers are intersted. :thumb:

If not - no probs - more room for the rest of us :?

Finally got 'The Plank' working yesterday so we have pleny of old comedy stuff for those who just want to chill out.

The Moon looked awesome last night - so should be even better tonight.

Chock dee all

Friday came and went and I'm fully recovered

We ended up with 17 fishing + a further 28 diners - 45 in all. Splendid turnout.

Seems most folk enjoyed the event with some still imbibing until 2 in the morning.

Shame about the fishing.

Only 7 fish in about 5 hours of fishing, caught by 4 from 17 contestants !!!!!!! :(
There were 11 caught by 2 guys in about 3 hours during the day

Thanks to Mojo, Gerry and Ian for taking 1st, 2nd & 3rd + also for JD showing that you can catch something on your first visit.

Will be planning more events in the future - so watch this space.

Meanwhile catch up with Mermaid Cruises night fishing trip next Friday - should be fun

Thanks for a great night last Friday, Terry, really enjoyed it.

Great food, you've really found yourself a good chef.

Can certainly recommend the bungalow, too - great night's sleep (helped somewhat by the lashings of red wine).

Look forward to the next one

Hi terry :)

I shall be coming to hua hin in about 3 weeks time and hope to get round to doing a bit of fishing.was just wondering what sort of bait you use on your lakes to catch the fish. was thinking if it was worth bringing a bag of boilies with me and giving them a go?

Rapala

Have had several folk try them without much success. It does seem that Thai fish like bread derivitives although some success has been had with some good old smelly cheese!!!!!!!

Bring some of that if you dare - it's too damn expensive here, to waste on fish!

Give me a call when you get here and I can advise.

Hi Rapala

Hope you enjoyed your visit today and congrats on landing the 34kg Giant Mekong Catfish on your first visit to us.

That's the 4th one out of the original 5 specimens put into the ponds

There remains just one of our specimen Pla Beuk to be caught.

I wonder who will catch it?
