British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?
Hi folks,
I am aware that there are places in both Bangkok and Pattaya that have a British Passport renewal service. Does anyone know if there is a company in Hua Hin that does this? If so who, and what were your experiences with them?

I'm sorry, I'm not answering your question, but it's very easy to do it yourself.
I renewed my UK passport couple of months ago. One trip to Bangkok to hand in the paperwork, one trip back a few weeks later to pick it up. You can download the application form from the internet.
I guess if an agent will do it for less than a couple of taxi/bus rides to Bangkok, then it's worth it. Otherwise, why not treat yourself to a day or two out in the Big Mango?

Re: British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?
the British Embassy (or consulate?) here has closed down in the years since I got my last passport renewed there, so just did the whole thing online last week. Very easy indeed. I even got to make my own photo with my phone. You fill the form in online, upload your digital photo (the software checks it for quality and crops your face/head/shoulders out of the photo). You then get a special number. You write that number on the envelope in which you put your old passport. Courier the old passport to them in the UK (Durham I think) and HM Passport Office couriers the new one and the old with snipped at the corner back to you within 4 weeks. 30 quid on top of the standard passport fee for courier charges. You can track it all online too.
Although I agree with Vital Spark, have renewed mine at the old Embassy/Consulate here twice in the past and it was as easy as can be. And it's a lot less scary handing your passport over to a government body than it is trusting it to Fed Ex.

I did mine with keyvisathailand.com a few months ago. Absolutely top notch service for the cost.

As above we used Key Visa as we live a long way from Bangkok. Fast and efficient service: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33307

To answer the OPs question, there is no service in Hua Hin for doing what you want.
This is the link for applying on line

Sorry I should have been clearer, the UK Embassy here where I live has closed down
But it couldn't be easier to do the online application. Use your phone to make a pic, submit the application via one click, the courier comes to pick up your old passport, 4 weeks later another courier delivers your new one. Cost me 30quid on top of the standard passport cost.

So how does KeyVisa do it. I've read many times of people using their services without having to visit BKK. Of course there is a fee but you save two trips to BKK and the hassle involved.
Re: British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?
When I renewed my wife's British Passport, it was stated my wife or her appointed representative had to apply in person. I think there was a form to be signed giving the 3rd party authorisation.

I used Key Visa too. You need to go to their website https://www.keyvisathailand.com/ and download the necessary forms. Easy Peasy and excellent service. All the information is there.
Re: British Passport renewal company in Hua Hin?
Key Visa send their people to Bangkok twice which is included in theiir fee BHT5,000 ( I think) - they also obtain the letter from the Embassy confirming this change which immigration require in Hua Hin. Service is excellent
