I know this has probably been asked before but - any recommendations for healthare cover companies at reasonable prices (just checked one out - £2500 per annum !.
Also anyone use local healthcare insurers - again any details very welcome

This is a difficult question because there are all types of cover. You can opt for the more expensive full cover or the less expensive options such as insurance only for hospital over night expenses, major surgery etc. You have to decide what option best suits you then find 3 different insurers and compare quotes.

A good start would to compare their quotes with the one you already have

Bought coverage from Bupa at the Obseverser office. Had some problems and ended in up in Bumragrad hospital in Bangkok. They made me pay 54,000 baht after a night and some tests. Bupa repaid me 47,000 baht. I thought that was fine
