Steve G, that number plate is a classic (lune the gun shadow as well), would be worth a fortune in the UK.
May try and get one here in Australia, they would not have a clue what it means either (must find someone in te RTA office that is not a Brit though)
Always Borrow Money from a Pesimist. "They Never Expect it Back"
The very fact that my original post generated 19 replies in the space of 3 hours just goes to prove my point. . and make me repeat my original question (admitedly rhetorical) why the fascination?
Sure I have heard it used on many occasions by people of many nationalities and used it myself, especially as in getting "pissed off" at someone ( happens a lot when I am driving it seems)
To "take the piss" is the only new one on me and one I have only ever seen in this forum. Never heard anyone actually say it or use it in conversation, I must say. Explain that one please.
This is unrelated to the thread here but as to "bollocks", do people actually USE this word in real conversation? It certainly doesnt appear anywhere nearly as often in this forum as "piss" and to me it seems like an antiquated expression from Shakespeare's time. ( like "whilst")

AHA chas bollocks now there is a word as you have so astutely observed much less used than piss but only because of the standard of typing and spelling on this forum well ill be bollocksed
Ok then, lets go in this direction. Why the sudden fascination here (a thread about "piss") with "bollocks". .except for physical proximity, I see no connection at all.

Because we're up to and beyond our arses reading property threads, visa threads and "I want to get into After Dark" threads. This is a fresh subject and can hold water, for sure. Pete
PS: Even the old hands on here can't come up with fresh subject matter constantly. You gave us a rainbow after the showers.
I have also noticed that not much is going on here on HHAD, hence my question.
It is the weekend and I do have a bit of time to chat. . . .And I will resist any party jokes using an expression including the word "piss".
