Alisson out for up to 8 weeks! Huge blow for Liverpool, that.

Surprising line up today by Emery. Left all the new talent on the bench. Using some youngsters which is always good. Let's see how it goes...

Man u fielded the youngest side of the weekend and hammered Chelsea in the end though the scoreline was somewhat unfair. Pogba took an hour+ to do anything but James looks a really good signing and the new look defence did a decent job. Chelsea cracked the woodwork a couple of times... on another day it coulda gone their way. One thing for sure is that Lamps needs a couple of good results in the nxt few games or it could be a very long (or short) season for him.

Lamps will be fine. The team will be fine. Too many 'unforced' errors yesterday. Good to see Kante have his first run out after getting injured at the end of last season, he is clearly needed in front of the back 4. Rudiger will be fit soon and Willian also. Those 3 will make a difference. Our biggest problem is up front. We have still to replace the obnoxious, if excellent Costa and he left 3 seasons ago! If we get chances - and we had many yesterday - we simply cannot afford the luxury of not taking them. That was the difference between the sides, oh and our defence, which leaked about 2 goals a game pre-season.

HaHa, of course, Kante back playing where he is the best in the World and Rudiger back in central defence. Goal scoring is the big worry as before, Hazard just did his thing. Now he is doing that in Spain.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane currently has the best goal per game ratio of any player ever in the history of the Premier League to score 100+ goals.

Still rubbish though, eh Bigboy?

Well happy with Arsenal this week purely for putting 2 English teenagers in the starting line-up (3 English players altogether). Not a great performance on the day but at least some English blood is getting back into a proud English club.

There's talk of scrapping certain areas of VAR already. Most negativity is directed towards the offside calls of which I'm on the negative side too. "Great piece of skill, lovely through ball - a FANTASTIC strike! GOOOAAALLLL...

... no no, scrap that. He was a millimetre offside!"

We used to call it 'being level with the defender'. It's a shit part of VAR. :banghead:

Big game of the weekend ahead is City-Spurs. Can't wait! COYS

Without a doubt - if he could manage a 45 minute shift, and help his team mates out on the football side of things, I'd have a lot more respect for the guy. It is actually quite upsetting to me that he is the best England have managed to produce in a decade - well below the International standard of the decent teams, so we stay as an also ran in the International stakes.

If Spurs want to continue with him, so be it, but I'd rather have a prolific goalscorer who also gets involved the rest of the match, rather than leave the hard work to his teammates. Far too lazy for me. Just disappears for large periods of matches.

Just my opinion of him of course. Obviously Spurs fans are delighted, and reap what they sow (what has he won?) - I just wish he didn't blight the England team. It is like playing with 10 men most of the time. Just imagine how much better Spurs could be if they had an 11th player involved in the entire game.

I don’t know how this compares to other players, (although I suspect he is a reasonable team player) but statistics about Harry Kane

I don't doubt his paper record, and you can't argue with his goal scoring record. He is a great goal scorer. My objection is he goes to sleep for huge periods of every game. I simply hate players who stand around like the proverbial spare prick for 95% of every match.

You won't change my mind - it's just been initiated by Lost to generate discussion.

I can only imagine that you have something personal against the man or the team. Sure, he didn't have the best World Cup (yet still got the golden boot) but if you'd have watched him play - at all - in any of the last 5 seasons, you would see that Harry's hold up play, passing and teamwork is as much a part of his game as his goal scoring.

As you said, you will not be convinced though. You simply dislike Kane and Spurs.

Nothing whatsoever against Spurs. Torquay and Exeter maybe, but my list of hated UK teams ends there.

Yes, I agree he's pretty good at taking penalties - thank you VAR. I have already acknowledged he's a decent goalscorer. As for the the rest of what you've said, no I have never seen that, and I've watched plenty of Spurs matches on the TV. Maybe he's just camera shy, and does it off camera. Of course there must be something about the guy that I can't see - thousands of Spurs fans can't be wrong. However, I don't hear many England fans hero worshipping the guy - maybe the rest of England need to buy a pair of Spurs coloured glasses
