Re: Buying online from Lazada

I recently bought a cordless hair trimmer on Lazada for about 300 baht. I found the exact same make and model in the basement of Market Village, shop at bottom of escalators near Tesco for 1300 baht. I’ve been shopping a lot on Lazada lately and saving a lot of money.

I use LAZ & Shopee almost exclusively now. Depends on price, vendor, and who ships from 'in country'.

Use 'priceza.com' .... and it will do the comparison shopping for you. Sometimes showing bettor prices on LAZ, then LAZ site itself. Also search Shopee & LAZ while on them. JD Central also shows up on 'priceza', as do other vendors, including overseas, AliExpress, etc.

Never a problem so far on the few returns / refunds using Shopee or LAZ.

Always read the not so fine print.

I can’t find how to switch to the English language version of priceza.com, all I get is the Thai version. Can you point me to the location on the page to switch to English ?

I use Win 7 and duckduckgo search engine. If i get to a site in Thai, I right click and there's a "Translate" place to left click.

Lazada have just broken all records on their delivery time.
Ordered a petrol lawn mower yesterday (Tuesday) just before lunch. It was delivered 12 noon today.

Getting so much better. So good, I got my 'delivered' notice at 1802 hrs, and 'shipped' notice at 1839 hrs yesterday.....LOL

Quite surprised it arrived, as previous notice was 'warehouse ready to ship'.....not complaining, just an observation. And that was a first.

A great day yesterday, although, only one for me, 2 for the wife, and 1 for the dog....

Wanted to share this here because Lazada is not the only fruit.

Looking for some photography accessories on there and did a Google search for the product which threw up another Thai online outlet: https://www.jd.co.th/

JD is a huge Chinese online retailer that is also available in Thailand.

Anyway long story short, I found what I wanted on there for 28% less than the cheapest identical item on Lazada so it pays to shop around.

JD also offer free shipping which you can no longer get on Laz so happy days.

Edit: just seen JD Central already mentioned in this thread, it works and can be a fair whack cheaper!

Most of the stuff we get from Lazada comes with free delivery or are you talking of shipping from outside of Thailand? I buy occasionally, but as far as the rest of my family go, there are at least 2 or 3 deliveries per week. All are COD as well as free delivery.

Both, I've been charged for shipping for the last six items I've ordered, 4 of them were domestic, 2 from China.

Just looked at my last few orders. There was a delivery charge but was credited on the invoice. i.e. initially charged but then negated from the total. Not sure why!

I've noticed they've been charging recently. If lucky, some have discounted the delivery charge, but I've not found any free delivery for a couple of weeks.

Any idea what has happened to the shipping charges? Even the ones that say 'free shipping' now have a shipping charge added when you go to order.

Just tried it with five different things to test and they all wanted to charge a flat 53 baht for shipping no matter whether it was a pack of chili seeds costing 40 baht or a power drill!

We get regular deliveries from Lazada and on checking, there has been no shipping charges. There is a shipping charge on the invoice but is credited in the total.

I can’t remember buying anything that didn’t have a shipping charge as an extra?
