In an effort to control flabby beer drinkers the new government has come up with a novel way of controlling shirtless drinkers. The new beer belly tax goes into effect today. Anyone with a waist over 36 inches will be subject to a 50 baht per inch per bottle tax on all beer consumed. Larger torsos will also have to be completely covered from belly button to neck. The Romantic bar is the offical headquarters of this tax and they will do the measuring and give you a card so the proper price per beer is charged. This is the new admin way of keeping the farangs in shape and flab out of your face.
