Goodbye Lady in the Surf

Post by Big Boy »

I see that the management have bowed to pressure, and the Lady in the Surf logo has gone:

Yes, we have to be politically correct now ... besides there are no ladies and no surf in Hua Hin.

What's wrong with the surf?
A shame, but there you go.

LOL....just go pick up a copy of Thai Rath newspaper daily and turn about 3-4 pages in from the back of the sports section. Even better is to get the Sunday edition and look squarely on the front page for a quarter page pic of an unashamed Thai female (usually a movie/TV star) for skin and underlying features. Then, go to page 3-4 in from the back of the sports section to see more and read her story. Thai Rath doesn't have a monopoly on this, look at all the Thai daily rags.

Bloody hypocrites, the do gooder's of the lady's social circle give HHAD a hard time, threaten, perhaps harass, refuse to advertise, why?...because they're impotent, unwilling and incapable of controlling their own bloody Thai media, and probably their husbands as well.

It's all the western farangs at the root of Thailand's moral decay. Kee Kwai!!

Next, let's have a luncheon with them to discuss Thai family incest, rampant child abuse within families and selling children into sexual slavery. A bunch of bloody brain dead imbeciles, the lot of 'em. Pete :guns:

PS: I'm now fully aware what it was like to be a black person in America in the 1950-60's. :(

I agree with Jockey, the lady in the surf was a pleasent picture but to me it was never a scene that conjured up what Hua Hin is all about.

HHAD does not really have much choice in the matter, its more a case of pandering to the masses than "growing up". If the powers that be want to pretend that certain elements of society simply don't exist in Hua Hin then thats upto them. Either way as stated its probably a good move for us, my avatar will be for the axe next!

So what do we find on the frontpage now ?

The "It is not just for the nightlife" is much more
explicit to me about the HH bordelo nights than the former pic

Maybe the HHAD team should produce some posters for sale considering the interest - who has copyright?

I'd be interested.

IMO authorities are always calling for the 'political correctness' of others, if the moral and ethical integrity of a society is already disintegrated.
Thailand with his everyday corruption, omnipresent prostitution and population indebtedness is no exception.
Hypocrisy is a global problem and also can't be stopped by Buddhism!
Unfortunately, we have to live with it!
