I think the answer is little to none on UBC, until it's time for some big tournament or playoff. Having said that, the best route is to search the pages of the UBC magazine you'll get in the mail each month.

Talking to people here, it seems the bars that show rugby are all getting it over JSAT on a feed out of South Africa. Pete

Only caught a few minutes of this one today so need help in figuring out who they were, as ABC Australia never says what countries the teams are from?

The Chiefs and Sharks in something called Super 14 ? It was Union.

Two observations. It appears that in Union when the ball carrier is tackled, a teammate can simply come up behind the pile and pick up the ball and continue play. When I was watching 'league' it appeared the ball carrier had to first stand up and push the ball back to another player with his foot. Is this one of the distinctions between league and union?

Next, when they tee up the ball for a penalty or after try point kick, the angle of the ball is facing the goal posts. Is this mandatory, or can the kicker angle the ball backwards, towards himself? Pete

It is entirely up to the kicker how he sets the ball.

I regularly watch schoolboy rugby (up to 16 yo), and you'd be amazed at some of the way the kids set the ball, although most try to emulate Johnny Wilkinson. I think they think if they have the exact same stance etc, the ball will do the rest.
