Did'nt he do well

Post by H2ODunc »

I have to say watching the F1 qualifying yesterday that young Hamilton did very well. P4 on the gid on his debut. Not many have done that well I imagine. Also its the first year of F1 without Schuey. I think this year will be a cracker. Good to see the Super Aguris also up the grid with Sato P10 and Davidson P11. I was a bit concerned that switching to just 1 tyre manufacturer would be a disaster but it seems to have leveled things out a mite. Would love to be at JW's sinking a few cold ones and a sunday roast after the race. Is JW's still the place to be race days? ???? I used laugh as the finns would all get up and leave if their boy, Raikkenen, dropped out. Happy days :D . If the hand wasnt still sore I would have had a ride up fron Chumps. My prediction for the race. P1 Raikkenen P2 Alonso P3 Hamilton. Cheers all god racing Dunc  :thumb:

Same, same but different. Used to laugh when the English got knocked out of World Cup or European Cup football and the English wouldn't watch the games anymore. More happy days to come, I reckon.

but we have an excuse

Post by H2ODunc »

The reason that we dont win anything in football is we are CRAP!!!!! The last thing we ever really won was in 1966. YES!!!! 19 Fcking 66. Every 4 years they convince the guillable fans that "this time we have a team that can win " and every time WE LOSE!!!!! :P

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!! we cant half drive!!!!!!!!! :guns:
You have to go back to 1957 when I think it was mike Hailwood came in the points on his debut race. Though your man has also got himself into the record books. The first person to get P1 first outing in a car and again for winning first time out in the car. So let the battle begin. Though I think Id end up like the football fans. I'll even go so far as to predict the same as I did for the race. Raikkonen world champion, Alsonso second and young boy wonder third  :thumb:

I have to admit he seems to have the best car and there is no getting away from the fact hes quick but GOD!!!! hes so wooden. Cant someone inject a bit of emotion into his speaking. The guys just won his first GP in a new car and team and its like hes just woke up. Its been a while since we have had such a mixture of cars on the grid, it all makes for an exciting year. Looking forward to going to Sepang next then a weekend in HH at Johnnies for Bahrain. Take care all  Dunc

Think you have lost the plot here as one fortunate to have been around and watched on TV the day Bobby Moore lifted the trophy in 1966.We fail at the final hurdle to deliver as do most international teams .I was in Lisbon in 2004 when we lost against France 2 to 1 even though we were the better side for the whole game. The whole scenario really is that its just a game but to say we are crap purely indentifies you as someone who knows little about football.Stick with motor racing mate

I see I am dealing with a fan who cant see the wood for the forest. I keep getting told that "we might have lost 3-0 but we played the better football ". The whole idea of football is to score goals so therefore it stands to reason that the team that has scored more goals played the better football. saying we LOST to France 2-1 still means we lost. When we win the world cup again ( as if ) then I'll alter my opinion till then you keep kidding yourself my friend. Each to their own. Stay happy :thumb:

To be honest, for me it is as tough to support Ferrari (no matter who drives) as it would be to support Manure (even if my favourite Finn player was in the team) so although I wish good like for the Ice Man, I wish our boy in Renault will do well.

Dunc, i agree the team that scores the mnost is better.
Its strange how everyone likes to say that the teams at the top are always lucky! Gary Player said that the more he practises the luckier he gets!

Kenny Dalgliesh said the same - but I suppose he never had an original thought! 8)

Hi

Just returned from KL and the GP, fantastic. Only about 500 baht entry fee, amazing, any other GP would be nearer 12,000 baht, I ahve paid it.
Great city and very clean, atmosphere was amazing, worth the trip.

I also agree with Dunk and JW, the more goals you score the better you are...its as simple as that.
