So much for the government's announcement.
Maybe you got the last one in stock!!
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/icon ... 30%20years.The first new passports will be issued and delivered early next month. Full introduction will be phased in and from mid-2020 all new passports will be blue.

You could be correct. We sent 2 passports. The other one has just arrived, and it is black

Looks like it's got some black ink - in the crown and the lion. Just as they were changing the ink over?Big Boy wrote:Not the news you were hoping for HHTel, my son's passport has just arrived.
UK Passport Renewal via Key Visa Pattaya
Has anyone any recent dealings with Key?
I made an email enquiry yesterday which was answered by return, and their website looks professional enough...
- Looking online, negative reviews seemed to be mostly related to attempts to take a Thai lady to the UK (presumably where the application failed?). -

I used it a couple of times last year, renewing for my son and a friend. They did everything I asked of them, and they were faster than I could have hoped despite Covid doing its best to screw things up. In total, I've used them times now, and have always been satisfied.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Key Visa Thailand
Very good for renewing my passport.
Hopeless, when trying to get a UK visa for my wife of 15 years (pre-covid).
Voicemails unanswered.
No replies to emails.
I tried for over 6 months, but the lack of response to mails and calls drove me mad.
I'll try and find another source for the UK visa later.

Have you considered applying direct yourself - it’s not that difficult and I’ve done it for my wife five times now and whilst you have to check everything very carefully, we’ve never had a problem.Suua wrote:Very good for renewing my passport.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Key Visa Thailand
I literally received my new passport from them before Christmas. Very quick, very professional and everything spot on.
I thought the following was quite funny:
A week after I received my passport, I received a mail from the UK passport office apologising for the delay in my application and that unless they require further info, my passport should arrive in approx 8 weeks time!!!
I've used them for passport renewal and a first passport for my Thai daughter based on her citizenship certificate. Never a problem. Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Key Visa Thailand
The first thing to do is go onto the UK Gov website and find the relevant visa application pages. Probably best to print it off if you can and read through it a few times to get familiar with everything that has to be provided. The most important issues are that your wife has the means to support herself during the visit (that can be by you) and that she has intention to return to Thailand and not overstay. Having assets or dependents back in Thailand is a big help (does she have any children or own land/a house?). You might be reluctant to buy a return ticket at this stage, however that does show intent to return!!Suua wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 5:43 pmThanks for the info.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 2:38 pmHave you considered applying direct yourself - it’s not that difficult and I’ve done it for my wife five times now and whilst you have to check everything very carefully, we’ve never had a problem.Suua wrote:Very good for renewing my passport.

After you've read the guidance documents, come back with any specific questions/clarifications.

I probably won't start this for a while, but thanks for the advice anyway.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Key Visa Thailand
For info:
My new passport is currently being processed in BKK (via Key Visa).
I've just received an email direct from HMPO advising:
" We are sorry that it is taking longer than usual to process your application due to COVID-19. If we don’t need any further information to progress your application, you should receive your passport within 8 weeks. "

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Key Visa Thailand
Lol. I got the same mail ONE WEEK after I'd received my new passport. I did forward a copy to Key Visa to give them a laugh.
