There are a load of designer label shops in Market Village but they are no cheaper than designer kit in the west.
HHAD polo shirts are a snip at 300 baht:

Would agree with that.Wanderlust wrote:From my own purchases and examinations of some of the gear on the market stalls, I would say a lot of them are not copies or fakes but the real thing, that have either found their way out of the back door of the factories, or are slight rejects for some reason or other like bad stitching or wrong labelling. Unless you are a really picky shopper as regards designer clothes then it's the market every time! Even if they are counterfeits most of them are damn good anyway.
You may be right for menswear, but that is definitely not the case for women's. Dolce & Gabbana don't do cr@ppy, nasty vest t-shirts with their logos screen printed on, neither do Chanel, Prada etc etc And try getting a women's top on a market stall without some huge label plastered over it. Uuurggh! Horrible! I guess the Polo or LaCoste ones are OK if you like that sort of thing, & maybe the Billabong type stuff, but the Vuitton/Prada/Chanel/D&G type stuff is awful.Wanderlust wrote:From my own purchases and examinations of some of the gear on the market stalls, I would say a lot of them are not copies or fakes but the real thing, that have either found their way out of the back door of the factories, or are slight rejects for some reason or other like bad stitching or wrong labelling.
