PISTOLS AT DAWN

Post by gooze »

I have a buissiness idea for anyone that is looking to make a few quid.

There have been over the last week or so several threads that were started in good faith and ended in a slagging matches between two or more parties. Now obviously pistols at dawn is gonna result in bloodshead and there seams to be more than enough of that on Soi B at the moment.

My proposal is this someone have a word with the lads at the "grand gym"
and set up the following:

Once a month we could have the "HHAD SUMO Challenge" Sumo outfits so that no-one gets seriously hurt and of course Queensbury rules.

It would also be agreed that after your boubt it is ended with a handshake and a cold beer.

I think this is better than all the bitching on this site between individual members.

So in brief if you have a gripe about a post you issue what would become known as a "sumo" in the event that the recipiant declines to accept the summo this is made public Knowledge on the site therefore to a degree giving a loss of face to the challenged poster.

In the event that someone casn arrange this I would be happy to post the first "sumo" to Splitlid

I think possible Burger might be sending one to Hogus and DO to Nomad. but to mention a few.

The idea behind this is to no way promote violence it is more to create a light hearted entertaining way to sort out bickering on the forum.

Your thoughts please.

An interesting concept, all lighthearted, and it may actually remove the anonymity that many people hide behind on this forum which gives them their confidence.

As you have no doubt seen in your short membership to the board most of the arguments revolve around real estate. There are two very differing and opposing sides of the "ring" here so there will always be heated debate and a lot of opinion. This is actually good for the reader as they can see both sides and get some idea of what its like before they blindly sign on the line.

It will go awry when slanderous comments, abuse and accusations enter the fray - everyone is entitled to their opinion but its how they put it across is what really matters.

What about each protagonist slogging it out though a sponsored female mud wrestler drawn from local bars?

PISTOLS AT DAWN

First of all SPLITLID I am so glad that you have decided to up your medication in tune with my advice.

Good lord SPLITLID taking advise from one of those unscrupulous real-estate people. Next we will surely find out the Pope is not Catholic!

Seriously if someone has time please arrange the concept of "the sumo" it could be entertaining.

If I had time I would do it, however as the good man says I like all other decent agents and developers in Hua hin am to busy running around ripping people off.!

Far be it for me to suggest that you quantify your remarks about "unscrupulous agents" however a post to the effect of "there are good and bad in everything" would surfice as an apology. That or you can PM me and explain your gripe with me, however this is highly unlikely as you probably have not got one with me or the vast mayjority of the other people you chose to abuse.

If you have a problem with an agent or a developer why generalise and slag us all off. Thats like me saying "I once met a person from -------- he was an idiot therefore all people from there must be idiots" I am assuming despite your heavy medication there is a brain cell that you could still use somewhere.

Im sure you are probably not as daft as your post makes you seam and look forward to exchanging posts with you in the future. Hopefully not about real-estate.

As regards the "loads of money" comment I earn a good living and work dammed hard at it. Last time I checked there was not a law that prohibited people from working hard in LOS!.

Ok, I'm completely with Wanderlust (on the other thread). The threads on this (property) section are getting like a junior school playground. I don't know about any other members, but I for one am getting sick of reading all this childishness. I'm logging off now to spend a bit of time with my 5 year old & have a mature conversation...

I agree Dawn, but why are people not pulled-up/edited when they make un-substantiated generalisations such as 'conmen', 'dishonest', 'ex-convicts', ex-drug dealers', 'unscrupulous agents', 'ripping people off' etc etc ??

This would help stop the threads descending into chaos.

I’m absolutely agreed with Dawn, and even with Burger (so long he includes also generalizations such as “liarsâ€

You & hogus both made a similar point. Until now, people saying such things weren't breaking any t&c's, as such, so there was no editing we could do. However, we might now see another added t&c, which will hopefully put an end to some of this.
