Every day a new bullshit.
You mean 'every day a new discovery'.

You can only call it bullshit if it's proved to be nonsense. Many like yourself will call anything they don't subscribe to as 'bullshit'.

Scholars of Sustenance Thailand: Low COVID cases but higher HUNGER cases
When the pandemic hit the world, it brought less COVID cases to the country but created a much bigger problem - HUNGER PANDEMIC. Thailand, known as a tourism hub which accounts to 15% of its GDP has no tourists since lockdown which led to severe job losses due to transmission control. This has affected the poor and middle-class households. Those living below 170 baht per day has significantly increased from 4.7million in Q1 to 9.7million in Q2. All of a sudden, people are more worried about food security than the deadly virus.

Scholars of Sustenance (SOS), a food rescue foundation that optimize food supplies in Thailand has been rescuing food from 100+ partners from the hospitality and retail industry since 2016. This operation was a huge success in saving tons of edible food from ending up in landfills and reducing CO2 emission until COVID happened. It hit the hospitality industry, causing significant cut on our rescued food. An unfortunate timing when more people need food, we have less to give.

I know it is a press release, but it highlights the real problems occuring in Thailand while the generals are still blinded by their ever so precious and largely meaningless Covid stats.

EMERGENCY DECREE TO BE RENEWED FOR 6TH TIME
The government’s response center to the coronavirus pandemic on Monday agreed to extend the emergency decree for another month, the same day officials reported 22 new cases of infection in the country.

Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration, said the extension is purely intended for disease control purposes. The emergency rule is set to expire on Sept. 30.

“Its use is still necessary for disease control measures,” Taweesin said. “There are other laws in place for demonstrations.”

The decision is yet to be formally approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday. If approved, it would be the sixth extension of the emergency law since it was enacted March 26.

Taweesin also said that the response center’s meeting, chaired by PM Prayut Chan-o-cha this morning, approved the proposal to allow six more groups of foreign nationals to enter the country amid the pandemic.

That will allow the goobermint to extend the emergency decree indefinitely.

The world's coronavirus death toll crosses one million, with the US, Brazil and India making up nearly half of the total.

No link, the news is everywhere this day. Some articles are saying it will hit 2 million before it's all over.

Yes, all over the news this morning. But let's be realistic, with inaccuracies in reporting/under reporting, the likelihood is that the one million figure was reached several weeks ago and we are well on the way to 1.5-2 million already :(

Question: If there are no domestic cases, it must mean that there is no virus here and if there is no virus here how will we be infected by it and if we won't be infected by a virus that isn't here, why is the emergency decree still in place and why are we wearing masks and keeping up anti-social distancing?

New Zealand had no domestic cases for 102 days.
Then in August Aukland reported 57 domestic cases (source remains unknown) which plunged them back into lockdown.

Vietnam went 99 days without domestic cases.
At the time they had no recorded deaths. A case was discovered in Danang (source still remains unknown) causing Danang to become the epicenter of the latest surge. They now have 35 deaths!

It's not over till it's over!!

I read that Trump has been given an experimental cocktail which appears to show positive results. Considering his age and obesity, it'll be major news if it works.
The president has been administered a single 8 gram dose of Regeneron Pharmaceutical's antibody cocktail, the physician said. The therapy is still in human trials, but is considered one of the most promising COVID-19 treatments.

Trump is also taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin, and a daily aspirin

Its called a dictatorship - control and fear are the only things that matter, plus it conveniently helps to keep those pesky anti-govt protestors in their place.

2 days ago we went to Macro and Villa and everyone was wearing a mask. Every time we've gone to MV, Baguette & Golden Place, everyone was wearing a mask. Where do you shop?
