I was briefly watching the Man U-Chelsea game on mute while watching the rugby on the other screen. Too confusing: "handball!!" oh no, that's the rugby...

But it occurred to me (again) that wendyball would benefit from a slightly longer advantage rule.

(EDIT: Hilarious, it's been pissing it down all game, but on 60 mins they're having a water break! )

Thoroughly enjoyed that one. What a match considering the conditions - even the camera drowned!

Handling errors by both sides of course, but absolutely amazed that there were not many, many more - if I had a hat, I'd take it off

Wasp's decision to go for the corner with 5 mins to go rather than for the draw and extra time (or possible win inside the 80)? Not a great one as it turns out - poor throw-in and lost ball......

Pretty much word for word what I was going to post.

Exeter deserved the win because they maintained control and played the conditions better than Wasps. The Wasps lineout and their fullback were weak today. Jonny Gray - good player. I have a soft spot for Joe Launchbury because we went to the same school, but that late decision not to go for the posts was a serious error in the circumstances.

A great shame that the original ref was unable to participate...

France 38 vs Wales 21 .......

Shocking display..... Both completely at a loss as to what tactics Pivac was playing and why the hell there was no attempt to change when they (whatever they were) were obviously not working..... Players continually standing off rucks and mauls giving away turn over after turnover - lapses in defence, Christ I wish we had the French defence coach who's worked wonders with les Bleus.... oh wait, we did have him - we just bl**dy pushed him away!! To add insult to injury, Dan Bigger certainly not having his best display.

Fair play to the french, they (the backline above all) are looking very good - great to see for all rugby supporters IMO (although a little painful in Wales this morning...).

Not the best officiating with a lot being missed, not to mention the foul play and cheap shot on AWJ which likely would have resulted in a Red Card if seen by the officials and I suspect will result in retrospective action from the citing commissioner. None of this of course would have made a blind bit of difference to the result which France thoroughly deserved. They do however need to address the "off-the-ball incidents" which could well cost them dearly now and in the future...


Back to the drawing board for Pivac & co. if they can find it....

Well, the French backs are certainly on a high at the moment so the Irish defence will need to be at it's best, if not, I wouldn't put it past the French to hit 4 tries - especially in Paris.

Looks like they'll be without Le Roux: -

"France's Bernard Le Roux has been cited for an alleged act of foul play during Saturday's Test against Wales in Paris.

The South Africa-born lock appeared to lead with his forearm as he challenged Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones in the 19th minute of France's 38-21 win.

The 31-year-old has been charged with "striking with the arm" and faces a disciplinary hearing on 27 October.

A ban would rule Le Roux out of their delayed Six Nations finale with Ireland on 31 October, also in Paris.

Ireland will travel to the Stade de France knowing a bonus-point win against France would ensure they become Six Nations champions, after thrashing Italy 50-17 in Dublin on Saturday.

If Le Roux is found guilty and depending on the length of any ban, the Racing 92 player could also miss France's Autumn Nations Cup campaign in November where they face Fiji, Scotland and Italy in the pool stage."

Of course virtually everybody on this Forum would be very happy to have such incomes, but when you compare it with what the top footballers get paid, it pales into insignificance!!
