I consider this vaccine hunt as a new game. How many deaths or side effects between the Yank and Brit vaccine vs the Sputnik and Chinese vaccine. Actually 17 deaths in Norway due to Pfizer, let's see the following good news.

Actually 17 deaths in Norway due to Pfizer,
Not proven. It's actually 30 deaths and all were over 80 and in nursing homes. In Norway there are 400 deaths in nursing homes in a normal week. It's being investigated whether these deaths are coincidental or as a result of the vaccine.

Too early to say.

After Chinese Vaccine Fails, China Launches Smear Campaign Against Pfizer
A few days after attempting to dismiss disappointing test results from Brazil on China’s Sinovac vaccine candidate for the Chinese coronavirus, Chinese state media turned to attacking Sinovac’s American competitors Pfizer and Moderna, calling for a worldwide ban on Pfizer’s vaccine after 23 elderly Norwegians died, ostensibly from reactions to the Pfizer shots.

China’s state-run Global Times on Friday cited “Chinese health experts” who called for a halt to the use of mRNA-based Covid-19 vaccines like Pfizer’s, due to “safety uncertainties” and evidence their “efficacy was not as good as expected.”

“Yang Zhanqiu, a virologist from Wuhan University, told the Global Times on Friday that the death incident, if proven to be caused by the vaccines, showed that the effect of the Pfizer vaccine and other mRNA vaccines is not as good as expected, as the main purpose of mRNA vaccines is to heal patients,” the article related.

Yang said China’s vaccines, by contrast, use “more mature technology.”

The Global Times also quoted an anonymous “Beijing-based immunologist” who said “the world should suspend the use of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine represented by Pfizer, as this new technology has not proven safety in large-scale use or in preventing any infectious diseases.”

Midway through its breathless screed against Pfizer, the Global Times admitted that all of the 23 deaths reported in Norway occurred among “frail, elderly patients in nursing homes,” all of them more than 80 years old and some over 90. Norway’s vaccination program put an emphasis on offering vaccines to the elderly first, on the grounds that they are the cohort most at risk of severe or fatal complications from the Wuhan coronavirus.

Norwegian health officials said only 13 of the deaths have been assessed so far, and “common side effects may have contributed to a severe course in frail, elderly people.”

Even the Global Times’ anonymous Beijing immunologist recommended that people over 80 should exercise caution when using any coronavirus medication, which rather deflates the talking point that mRNA vaccines are uniquely dangerous.

Private hospitals reserve Covid-19 vaccines ahead of approval
Two private hospitals have ordered millions of doses of coronavirus vaccines ahead of regulatory approval, adding to government orders of vaccines as Thailand tackles a second wave of the virus.

"We ordered one million doses of the Sinovac vaccine with an option to buy nine million more," Boon Vanasin, the chairman of Thonburi Healthcare Group Plc, told Reuters.

People can mark the New Year by doing several things, including lying in coffins at a temple to rid them of bad luck. - Jetjaras Na Ranong

From the initial one million doses, he plans to use about half to inoculate staff in its network of 40 hospitals and workers in his other businesses, once receiving approval from Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The government has separately ordered two million doses from China's Sinovac Biotech and expects delivery of 200,000 doses with plans to inoculate frontline workers and medical professionals in high-risk areas next month.

The government has also ordered 61 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will be produced by local firm Siam Bioscience for domestic use and export.

"We can’t just wait for the government," Boon said, adding that it was not clear how many doses from the government’s vaccine stockpile would reach private hospital workers.

For patients, Thonburi's medical centres plan to offer two vaccine injections for 3,200 baht.

Like most things here, the junta will be profiting from exporting vaccines manufactured domestically. And you can be assured that the above price will not apply to foreigners.

As Corona is a China made virus, Sinovac should be the best vaccine, as Chins knows the virus better.

So basically, there is no news on any new restrictions. Earlier statements retracted.

So, again, it's a wait and see.

And now we're told, "Immigration spokesperson is now saying that they will have to “wait for the Council of State to interpret the new regulation”. So no compulsory COVID test for everyone - not yet anyway."

So we will, we won't and we might. The world has gone crazy. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No one seems to talk to each other. They have started many programs to attract foreign investment and foreign professionals, but in the same breath throw up roadblocks and disincentive. It's very similar to their many programs to attract tourists during this period. They pack them so full of stipulations and costs potential tourists laugh and forget all about this place. We constantly talk about that on here. Such is life with political appointees in decision making positions.

The various foreign Chamber of Commerce people and many other organizations are going to scream to the rafters if they actually attempt to implement this current idea.

That's what happens when military generals, their buddies and relations, and random unqualified billionaire tycoons amalgamate to commandeer the governance of a country. We should all be used to this bullshit by now. :banghead:
