It still managed to gross $40 million against a budget of $18 million and was the director's highest movie!

Financially a success but otherwise a flop.

Noticed Monster Hunter arrive on yts recently. Big ass monsters, plenty of boom bangs and a viewing of the incredibly stunning Milla Jovovich (been obsessed with her ever since the fifth element ).

Easy watching, mindless fun.

Usually, I glance over your recommendations as I'm not into horror B movies but the Milla Jojovich bit had me reaching for the download button for this one ...

A Call to Spy (Netflix)

WW2 spy film with a female slant. Crap, don't waste your time. I gave it an hour, but I was feeling charitable. The dialogue and acting are as clumsy as the title.

Agreed, looks like a little puff piece on the SOE.

Here's one to get your mojo back.

The Little Things

Solid performances from Denzel, Rami Malek and Jared Leto.

Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe Deacon is sent to Los Angeles for what should have been a quick evidence-gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a serial killer who is terrorizing the city.

Download at your favourite site.

For those of us who are old enough to be hooked on Tom and Jerry back in the day, a new Tom and Jerry (2021) is currently in the cinema. A mixture of animation and reality, it can be downloaded in HD from the usual sites. I get most of mine from YTS.

Found In the Heart of the Sea on Netflix yesterday, it tells the story of the whaling ship the Essex, which went on to be the basis for Moby Dick.

First They Killed My Father

A really harrowing account of a young girl's struggle for survival during the reign of the brutal Khmer Rouge regime. Hit me hard this one. Puts all our pathetic first world worries of today into perspective. I'm honestly truly disgusted at all our faux outrages and entitlement after watching this. Bunch of pathetic little shits we are in the west.

Directed by Angelina Jolie, I caught this on Netflix. Worth a watch if you've not seen it. It's not in English obviously so you'll need subs.

Edit : Decided to revisit 'The Killing Fields' now to lighten my mood.

Just watched an old movie "The Medusa Touch" starring Richard Burton and Lee Remick among others. Made in 1978 it's about the story of one man (Richard Burton) that has the power to cause terrible disasters by the power of his mind alone. Very watchable.

Just a heads up, I noticed the new Justice League is on yts. Dunno how long it's been out. Been looking forward to this one. Looks good and pretty decent reviews all round.

It was officially released yesterday but already on HDPrime and I've downloaded it from YTS. 8.9 rating on IMDB and a huge list of stars. It certainly looks good if you're into superheroes.
I've not watched it yet, mainly because it's just over FOUR HOURS long. I will schedule some time in my life to watch it.

Christ, I've not watched the likes of "The Irishman" yet as it's 3hrs + long!!

The daft thing is whilst I veer away from movies over 2.5 hrs, I can sit and watch a series for 8 bl**dy hrs!!

[EDIT] You would have thought they would have split it into 2 movies - surely a better financial reward?

That one brings back memories!! Might just have another look, despite watching it 3 or 4 times already....
