There is a case in the Cicada staff where my daughter works. She's now isolating and a test has been booked for her tomorrow.

The same one who already had it in America?

Good luck to her. I hope it all turns out zero.

So why am I writing this on the Hua Hin Covid page?

I think Thailand has cried wolf too many times with minor outbreaks. From what I saw today going to and from the lake, and whilst at the lake, many people in Hua Hin are convinced Covid isn't a problem, and the 3rd wave will just fade away like the 1st and 2nd ripples. Yes, I saw a few extra motorcyclists wearing masks, but that was it.

I hope I'm wrong, but this 3rd wave has a very different feel to me.
Was in MAKRO this afternoon. Out of 6 other farangs in there only one had the mask covering his nose. Mind you, one Thai decided that mask under the chin was OK too.

I guess this raises the question, "If HHH5 Field Hospital had 60 beds, where are the other 54?"

If I had to take a guess, I'd say probably in a specially-equipped ward (or wards) in the main hospital.

I don't know how well you know HHH, but I honestly do not think they have such capacity.

I do, however, have a theory, which is probably a million miles from the truth. When they opened the new car park, mere plebs were only allowed to level 6. There were 2 entrances, but when Covid arrived one entrance was closed, and the lifts no longer went to the top floor, which was always something other than car parking. My theory is they could well be above the car park :D

Well new cases yesterday were 967 and what about a guess that it will exceed the UK in a few weeks ( UK 2500 yesterday)

As to Field Hospitals the UK via the army established some with over 1000 beds in about 2 weeks, so what rubbish to
boast about 60 beds near BK

This is about to become a very serious situation with the economy at crisis point and government borrowings sky high!

Graphic showing Maya pub connections to current HH outbreak.

Those shown outside are either relatives, friends or drivers. One is an aluminium window fitter. One is a 2 year old child.

The number associated with each icon is the case number for this outbreak, starting at 9. 1 - 8 were in the small outbreak related to Samut Sakhon earlier this year. The number inside the icon is the patients age.

The answer is Hua Hin Commercial College, which is slightly North of Hua Hin Hospital. I've been reading they need to urgently install an elevator to service the 4 floor building.

How do you urgently install an elevator? Unless there's a disguised shaft? On the outside? Big forklift?
