I watched the highlights of the Everton vs Tottenham match this morning and have to say that (not everybody’s favorite player) Harry Kane took both of his goals well, probably no surprise that he is currently the EPL’s top scorer.

Newcastle look as though they’re going to avoid the drop, providing they can keep their mini-revival going, whereas Sheffield Utd have officially been relegated already.

Personally, I think he should rejoin Poch in Paris. Great opportunity for the family; broadened horizons, etc. I suspect he'll opt to stay in the UK though, being a dyed in the wool Norf London boy who is probably not that keen on learning a foreign language!

No-one yet knows how covid will affect transfer fees and contract offers. The chances are the UK clubs will be in a better position to offer a good deal than many of the European clubs.

I'm not sure Paris will offer much in the way of broadened horizens. He could probably commute daily!

Have to say I'm surprised at this stage of the season - let him stay for the last few games and save a couple of £ Million in compensation!! Seriously, what is it going to cost Spurs? Surely there's not much to gain at this stage, or is a Top Four finish (& Championship Football) realistically still on the cards with new management/coaching staff?

Well if it’s true that he’s on an annual salary of around £12m, then it’s going to be very expensive.

Although it’s possible that they could put a winning run together and qualify for Europe, it’s a big ask of anybody coming in so close to the end of the season

Interesting move, shades of Tim Sherwood (although Sherwood ended up getting an 18-month contract and then got slightly shafted). Mason is Tottenham through and through - even more so than Kane, possibly. He's only 29 and retired early a couple of years ago due to a fractured skull.

Neither Mason nor the club has anything to lose. A top-4 finish has gone by the board now, but as things stand we're looking to be out of Europe altogether, so scraping back into next season's Europa League could be considered a success from the current position.

Whatever happens over the next few weeks, I doubt Spurs will give him the job full time, but I'd rather see him doing it than another end-of-career international manager with an outdated reputation.

He’ll also be ably assisted by Chris Powell who has some experience of managing teams as well as playing (briefly) for England and currently on the England coaching team as well as at Tottenham - I wish them both well.

If your TV has dual language feature, you will be able to watch the match in English or Thai, although the pundits bit will be Thai only.
