I'm confused regarding these electricity discounts. Everyone was talking about discounts over the last few months which came to an end. However, I've not noticed any discounts during that period. My bill has remained pretty constant throughout.

The discounts were for Feb and March - April was back to normal which was why our bill was 50% more. Good to see they're doing it again as I was expecting something epic for May.

My bill for Feb and March and April showed no signs of any discount. My bills have varied by a couple of hundred baht throughout.

Ours did, Feb and March were under 2K - April closer to 3. Massive difference and the discount was written on the bill.

You prompted me to rake out by old bills. The bills for Feb and March show no discount and are in line with other months.

I'm being discriminated against. Call in the 'Human Rights Watch'.

However, on second thoughts, the electricity is in my wife's name (Thai).

Swings and roundabouts - you don't get rain, we get lower utilities charges.

:lach:

But because I don't get rain, I use more water and electricity keeping my sprinklers going!
A 'no win' situation.

This is 2021, have they reached this goal? What does this number translate to in terms of ability to use the MWs and who is benefiting from it? sorry if those are impertinent questions. Honest officer, I'm not questioning the government.

No discounts for May - the bill is EPIC - 70% higher than March.

No surprise though since the a/c has been on at night and the kids have been home all month.

Really? I thought it was discounted to no more than April's bill  Time to panic then - I even told Mrs BB she could use aircon during the day, on one day

You're not on a development or in a condo by any chance? They make up their own rates, usually higher than what the state charges.

Just re-reading the bill and they've knocked 70 units off so it would have been astronomical without that. They've also upped the unit price to cover the "discount" - give with one hand, take with the other, very crafty.
