Oh Boy! Jings, crivens, help ma boab! How did this pass me by? I didn't even know it existed until pharvey mentioned it in passing in another thread. It's like all my Christmases have come at once... <sigh>

Episode 1...
Christ, I was haviving kittens (though I hate cats) believing the 3rd season was already out!! Thankfully, it is due!!

DM, as you enjoy SCI-FI, you have 2 seasons of this one which I'm sure you'll love!! :thumb:

Aha! Either I missed a clue or I'm a bit fuzzy on the time line. Anyway, it's a splendid story with some great CGI.

[EDIT: Doing a bit of googling, I'm astonished to find that Carl Weathers, who plays the role of Greef Karga, leader of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, is over 70!]

Incidentally, I'm downloading the first few episodes of The Bad Batch while I watch this (waiting for the Mandalorian's conscience to kick in...).

I won't spoil anything for you, but you'll drop your bollocks at the end of Seoson 2....... Hence my wait for season 3!!

This I've not seen/heard of..... will have to have a look-see!!

[EDIT] NOPE!! Certain animations, yes - you can't do that to Star Wars or Star Trek!! There are levels...... :cuss: :banghead: :D

Carl Weathers had a great little role in the first couple of seasons of Arrested Development, my all time favourite comedy series,

Note to self: Always watch the trailer. :banghead:

Unless you've watched Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance (not so relevant) animated series you won't be familiar with some of the characters that show up in The Mandalorian and other new Star Wars series to follow on.

That was true for me. I've watched a lot, but not all, of the star wars movies, but have not repeated so don't remember many of the characters. Nevertheless I enjoyed the mandalorian very much.

OK, I've watched the Star Wars movies, but not the animated series - perhaps I've not been familiar with some of the characters in The Mandalorian, but it certainly didn't stop my enjoyment of the series. Very much looking forward to Season 3!! :thumb:

The Mandalorian

Season 1 done and dusted. Wow! The best sci-fi TV I've seen by a country mile - it way outdoes even the recent Star Trek series. And enter the light sabre Mark II.

Season 2 here we come...

EDIT: My only complaint is that it was too short. 8 episodes of just over 30 minutes. I imagine it was pretty expensive to make.

Very similar feelings - but then again, to be pi$$ed off how short it was goes to say how much you enjoyed it..... :thumb:

Oh, Season 2 ending to come.... (Aside from the whole of season 2 being superb)!

The third season of the Mandalorian is in production but it will come next year sometime, after The Book of Boba Fett scheduled for December.

Did any of you fellow sci-fi fans get into The Expanse, I'm loving it and keeping pace with the book series that it is based on.

I enjoyed the first couple of seasons a few years ago, but haven't got back into it yet. A timely reminder!
Haven't read the books.
