Rumours going round that Everton's ****** has been arrested on alleged child sex offences. Police have confirmed a Premier League player has been arrested and Everton have confirmed a first team player has been suspended.

Not sure how everyone has arrived at ****** but his name's all over the internet at the moment.

[Mod Edit] Name removed until the rumour can be substantiated.

As it’s just speculation at this moment, hopefully the mods will see fit to get their eraser out!!

What the facts are at the moment...

https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2193203/club-statement

https://www.google.com/amp/s/bbcgossip. ... s/%3famp=1

31 year old Everton player. Regular for his national team. Married.

Edit: To add, the wife of the player that people are pointing a finger at on the internet (which I wrongly named on here) has come out to say it's not him and he hasn't been arrested. Not sure why the wife is coming out to say that and not the player, mind. The plot thickens.

We've had the 'Harry Kane to join (insert club here)' stories every summer for 6 or 7 years, but something tells me he'll probably be off this time round. Not for 160 million, mind. Reckon it'll be 30-40 million less than that.

I think that one things for sure - whatever the transfer fee ends up as, and whatever his wages might be, it’ll be a lot more than most people think he’s worth!!

Or 30-40 million more if Manchester United get involved in the bidding war.

Seriously? Would Man U pay that kind of money for anyone, let alone Kane - he's getting on in Wendyball terms is he not?

The money stated is ludicrous as it stands, 160 million, 400K a week.... FFS

[EDIT] You never know, Messi may still be on the cards with the troubles at Barcelona.... And maybe cheaper!!

The trouble was, there were two Everton players who matched the description. The name that lots of people jumped to first (and who was a 31 year-old English national team player) was not the person arrested. The club also issued a statement since, saying it wasn't him.

The other, who is an Icelandic international, turned out to be the one who was actually arrested. His name has now been published in many foreign language outlets, including the Icelandic media.

He is quoted (again in foreign media) as having strenuously denied the accusations.

Not sure where to put this. I`ve been watching ITV4`s showing of First division matches in the 70s, the pitches were awful, mostly mud in the centre circle and goal area and frozen mud in the cold weather. Compared to today`s game the football was very slow with players seeming to have plenty of time to decide their next moves. Anyone who says football was better back in the day should watch this programme.

I’ve watched these games many times and I’m old enough to remember watching them live in the day!! Without a doubt, today’s players are considerably fitter than their counterparts of 40-50 years ago, but of course there were still some quick and skillful players around then and those “mud-bogs” were nowhere to be seen at the beginning and end of the seasons, just mid-season.

I still fondly remember the likes of Bobby Carlton in full flow, shimmying one way and then the other and letting fly from 30 yards (with either foot) and the ball flying into the back of the net. Whether it was as good as I remember I’m not sure, but to me it was very good to watch!!

Harry has apparently failed to report for training this morning in a bid to push through the City move.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailym ... liday.html

Good news for Tottenham is Romero looks like he may be joining us, a position we desperately need some quality, and the Bryan Gil signing seems like a great bit of business. Full write up on the young lad in this article...

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.thegua ... -dribbling

Also rumours that Nuno wants to bring his former player Adama Traore to Tottenham. An absolute beast on his day but last season was a bit of a shocker, albeit he had issues with injury.

Reports online suggest Jack Graelish will be completing his move to City today. At a price of hundred odd million, and factoring in the possibility of Kane, are City really going to spend a quarter of a billion pounds on two signings this transfer window?

Don't worry. They will just put it in the account for sponsor income so they will not be charged with breaking the financial fair play rule ImageImageImage
