That could call for a hell of a lot of self-restraint if the Lions win...
Besides, PeteC picked SA to win! :guns:
Perhaps just post a "wink" when the Lions win...... though that could be taken in the wrong way  (DAMN!! Bloody Emojis..)

To cleanse my soul completely, I really have a problem with Gatland. They brought him in to manage the NZ Chiefs and he tried to change their whole system. What I can gather it was the first 5-6 phases ram up the middle and forget any spread out passing game until after that. They lost 8 matches in a row and Gatland was voted the worst coach in the NZ league. He then left for his Lions duty and the Chiefs have been winning ever since once they got back into the rhythm of their traditional game.

He's not going to get a warm reception from players or fans down there when he returns, if he returns. Maybe I'll warm to him later, we'll see. His son is developing into quite a good player though. An All Black future for him in a few years if he keeps it up.

Hmmm......

Cracking result - scrappy first half, better second. AWJ - class captain, Itoje, massive game as did Biggar until he went off. Murray still shite, Mako - great impact.

[EDIT] Williams at FB, Adams to be brought in for the 2nd Test (Wishful Welsh thinking...)

1-0 HERE WE GO!! :thumb:

Sorry Pete...

I wasn't very impressed by the referee in the first half.
EDIT: Or with the pitch throughout. The same one for the next 2 matches...

Agree on both points - just scared to mention the ref.... I thought he was crap for the entire game!

The pitch is a worry though - games can be won and lost in the tight.

Yes, hats off to the Lions. :thumb: I was surprised to see that more picked SAF in the pool than the Lions. Let's see what match #2 has in store.

Well, after the dust settles over the 1st Test against the Springboks and a great victory for the British & Irish Lions.... :thumb:

What changes can we expect for the 2nd Test?

I still think Hogg is suspect under the "high ball", so would like to see Williams brought in - he would also add a bit of speed to the Back Three.
VDM did well, though he was turned a couple of times... but should stay. I'd like to see Adams there, but Watson did nothing wrong to lose his place.
Daly got twatted in the first few minutes and never really recovered - certainly didn't make any yardage - I'd bring in Bundee Aki (proper Irish name). There's talk of Farrell coming in as the other Center, (or Flyhalf) but I'd stick with Henshaw - Farrell on the bench.....
Lot's of talk about the Halfbacks - I'd stick with Price and Biggar.
Wyn Jones if fit should come in at Loose-Head to give a bit more muscle and mobility to the pack.
Faletau to replace Conan at No.8 (as it should have been from Day 1!).

The only reason (aside from the 100m/200m races) to watch the Olympics would be the 7's Rugby - can't find it anywhere!! :banghead: :cuss:

Just results......
