Makes me wonder if the underground bars will continue to operate?

The logic being they were breaking the law before so why stop now?

Possibly because it's deemed a more serious offence this time around??

Thoughts anyone?

A couple of days into lockdown and it seems that shortages are appearing.

7/11 (well the 4 around me) have had no milk for 2 days. So I tried my local Tesco (opp. 114) and no milk there.

This might be the thin end of the wedge. I reckon you'll see more shortages over the next couple of weeks.

There was plenty at Makro CA this morning, but maybe they’ll be a rush now?

There has been a lot of panic buying this time around. I don't know why it's taken 18 months for people to panic.

My son went to Makro earlier, and things were definitely short or unavailable.

What I did notice was that pork and chicken prices had increased but didn’t notice any other price changes

Gourmet Market had shelves heaving with milk at 15.15.I know because I bought a big bottle of Chok Chai's finest!

Also a couple of kebabs from the kebab lady. She is staying open, but there will be an ordering point in a designated area. I hope they do the same with the other food court places in there, which were all sealed off and well and truly shut today, as they are the ones that suffer, not the chains.. The bread shops have moved into the supermarket.

Well, my question was really rather about whether they would still continue to operate 'illegally' as opposed to what time I would go.

That said, I feel that if they did continue with sneaky paper cup beers they may not want to risk going into curfew time. That may be pushing it too far...

Anyway, asking for a friend!

They ran out of minced beef and have no idea when any more will arrive in the meat area at Makro.

Normally I go there and ask them to get a full 'big pack of 80/20' from the cold room, they then run it through the mincer twice and I buy a load of it, 4 or 5 KG at a time. I freeze it in smaller portions in separate bags when I get home and it lasts me for months before I need more.

I intended to do this Monday but they had literally nothing left and no idea when it will come back

We asked why they had none and apparently there had been an outbreak of COVID somewhere in the supply chain - so no more minced beef, only frozen available.

I saw that Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin had already 2 cases announced in staff. I was there yesterday and staff talked about many peoples to get tested. Seems worrying
