If i read the numbers for today, of which there are 38 for Pranburi
4 from the hospital cluster and 2 from the fishing boat cluster
that leaves 32 , which seems like a hell of a lot for a relatively small population.

That was 2017. The Thai Wikipedia has Hua Hin with a population of 122,387 in 2020. Of course that would be the national citizens register count, some of which would live and work elsewhere. On the other hand it probably doesn't include most of the foreign population.

Thats what i would have thought judging by the settlement sizes and amount of infrastructure in both areas

Pranburi district population in 2020 was 77,987. Not much more than in Joelle's post.

it looks like about half that population are here now. Thai numbers are always suspect.

Cumulative total of 965 patients.
Details of patients who are in various communities as follows:
1. Community in Ban Yai 2 people from family members
2. Hua Ban community 1 person from family members
3. Thung Takat Phli Community 2 cases (from family 1 person, 1 person from workplace)
4. Khlong Thian Community 3 people from family members
5. Sahakham community 5 people live in the same house, from family members
6. Bo Khaem South community, 1 person
7. Ban Huai Sai Nuea Community, 1 case, unknown cause of infection

Details are as follows:
1. Khlong Thian Community 2 people
- The first case from a family member
- The second case is in the risky area of ​​Khlong Thian community
2. Saha Kham community 1 case, don't know where the infection came from.
3. Nong Chaeng community, 2 cases from family members
4. Bo Khaem South community, 1 person, from a colleague

Details are as follows:

 - The first case is from a family member
