Utter madness..... :banghead:
Just makes a mockery of the whole Fifa Fair Play lie. Doesn't seem to apply to some clubs.

I can think of no better way to start the season than watching Arsenal be completely outplayed by a newly promoted side.

Christ, they were bad!

Yesterday's match:

Most of the clearances from defense straight to the opponents, defenders couldn’t cope with high pressure of Brentford, midfield build-up almost non-existent and slowed down almost every time when we were approaching the opponents penalty area. Crosses with no-one to finish the job. Same old problems in the defense. Otherwise we did well  :guns: . ESR, Lokonga and Tierny the only positives, Xhaka was ok.

Pogba with 4 assists in the first game!

With Fernandes sticking away a hattrick, Sancho getting up to speed and Verane still to add to the squad, I feel United may just be title contenders this year.

Fingers crossed it was just a poor Leeds display.

Penalty misser Saka comes on at Tottenham. Tottenham fans stand and applaud him.

Comes on at Brentford. Brentford fans stand and applaud him.

Leeds fans on the other hand...

Must say it's brilliant seeing the streets outside flooded with Tottenham fans on their way to the stadium again. I've missed this matchday atmosphere outside the home. Pretty sure the mood won't be quite the same at the end of the 90, mind.

If we perform like we did in preseason against Chelsea, even though we got a draw, we've no hope. We were shocking. Couldn't get hold of the ball. Can't see us getting much of the ball today, either. No Harry in the squad doesn't help.

Hopefully we might see Bryan Gil make an appearance off the bench. See what he's capable of.

Anywho, fingers crossed but I haven't got my hopes up. Just hope we put a shift in.

Well, surprisingly, I thought we were the better team for large chunks of the first half. A shocking start though that could have seen us 2 down in 5 minutes. City didn't bring their shooting boots. Unfortunately, neither did Sonny. Couple of chances to pull the trigger which he shied away from.

Ultimately, City let down by their shooting. Spurs let down by the final ball. Encouraging stuff though.

Deli has to come off, mind. Useless. Mr Invisible. Bring on Lo Celso or Gil.

Well, well, well.

How refreshing it was to see that performance after the Mourinho era. Excellent all over the park. A real energy about the team.

I called that wrong. He put in a great shift second half!

Tottenham for the title? :duck:

Well, well, well, that was a nice surprise - and no fluke! Excellent performances from half a dozen Spurs players and a deserved win. You've got to love Sonny!

After such a thrilling game against the champions today, with 58,000 in attendance, we now look forward to the big one on Thursday.

Should be a sellout 9k crowd. Hopefully no first team players make the journey.
