The "banks in the malls can now open" is not until Sept. 1st.

Really? I thought it would have been sooner, hoping for 18th August, but I haven't had chance to listen to the brief yet - disappointing really.

Hmmmm...... listened to the brief now. Banks will open in malls from 18th Aug as I hoped.

The bombshell, although not unexpected, was the Covid Pass. Only holders of such passes will be allowed back into restaurants when they re-open.

OK, my wife reported wrongly.

I guess I won't be going to restaurants. Not that I go now.

How do you get a covid pass if you haven't had 2 shots? And for white devils who are under 60 with no underlying illness, how do they get one, let alone 2 shots?

You don't. However, this is Thailand where laws are conveniently ignored. Do you believe that after 18 months of regular closures, and the nation living on or below the breadline owners will turn away much needed custom/revenue?

A friend has just returned from Bangkok following a three day stay and a Covid jab at MedPark hospital. I was under the impression that she had to self quarantine. She believes that it is ok to go out for coffee ( take out) and to buy food in shops. What are the actual rules here in Prachuap town were they to be strictly observed?
