I notice United shares went up something like 8% after the Ronaldo news. And they gained a million followers in few hours on social media. Ronaldo's superstardom will most likely pay his ridiculous salary at United by itself.

Half-time Man City 3-0 Arsenal (Xhaka sent off)

Test message on the BBC website: Jona: On the bright side, Arsenal have not hit bottom yet. Couple more goals from MCity should do it.

Well they’ve got one more and should have had more. I think it’s more a case of Arsenal playing bad rather than City playing well - but against 10 men it’s been too easy

Liverpool vs Chelsea turning into a firecracker!!!

Chelsea had it all under control and should have had a couple (though Lukaku has reverted back to factory settings of Big Donkey) but all has changed since Reece James decided to play goalkeeper for a moment... :D

Looking forward to the 2nd half!

Yes, I'm hoping Chelsea hang on for a draw. If they do, Spurs could be top tomorrow!

Wouldn't that be nice. Go into the international break Tottenham top, Arsenal bottom.

Not got my hopes up though. We seem to fluff our lines against teams like Watford. Were quite fortunate against Wolves last week.

And they did! Some pretty disgraceful playacting at times from Chelsea, but I think the pundits describe that as 'clever' these days... But they defended well, and Liverpool just weren't good enough to take advantage.

Excellent! This time tomorrow Spurs will be top! Because of course we couldn't possibly fail to beat lowly Watford... could we...?

Not quite!

I hope they do well but not as well as Spurs.

Well that was 50 odd minutes out of my life and reasons why I dislike the sport (well "League Wendyball").... Diving galore, players in agony only to leap up when a foul/free-kick is not given..... All out playing for a draw.....

I kind of jinxed it with my post! Should have known Chelsea would just shut up shop and employ the 'dark arts' in the 2nd half. Expected much more from Liverpool but kudos to Chelsea I guess.

Yep, I guess you can give Chelsea credit for the defence ("blondie sub"), but it does f all for "football" IMHO. Christ, I want to watch a sport with some excitement - I don't really follow the game, and no doubt you'll quote F1 and rugby against me, but good God that was frustrating. Chelsea "playing" or Liverpool just not there?
