There are so many conflicting reports of covid vaccine mixing. They range from very pro to very anti. Several countries do not allow mixed vaccines within their own country and there are countries that do not recognise a mixed vaccine as being 'fully vaccinated'.
The only common agreement is two doses of the same vaccine. AZ and Pfizer appear as the front runners.
Suddenly it appears that Thailand is getting more than enough vaccines after an abysmal start:
Between now and the end of the year, six million doses of Sinovac are expected to arrive. 7.3- 8 million doses AstraZeneca will arrive in September, 10 million in October and 13 million doses in both November and December and 8-10 million doses of Pfizer per month from October to December.
That's around 80 million doses (fortunately only 6 mill is from China!) not counting donations from Japan and others.
Then we have Moderna's arrival now on the cards.
Personally, I'll stick with both shots of AZ agreeing with most quoting the lack of data.
I was previously all chirpy on here about having no side effects to getting the shot but I may have misspoke.
A week or so after my first vaccine, I had some slight stiffness and restricted movement in my shoulder. I put this down to something I'd done at the gym. I'm forever getting niggles from overdoing it. But 3 months down the line, and a break from from any weight training, and it's still there. Bloody annoying, it is. Basically quite uncomfortable pain when raising my arm (don't raise your arm then, *chortle**snort*). And forget about scratching my back with that arm.
Can't be certain it's down to a whoopsie regarding the injection site but the timeline matches. Nothing to do with contents of the vaccine but rather the injection itself if it is related.
I'll give it another month or so. See if it sorts itself out before Mr. Doctor can come into play.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.
When receiving a vaccine, raise your shoulder a few inches. This raises the bursa and the needle goes into the muscle instead of the capsule that holds fluid. This will lesson the aftereffects of a shot.

Too late for me now, but good advice.
I hadn't linked the discomfort to the vaccine until recently as it's in my shoulder joint rather than the muscle. After doing some research though, I'm leaning towards the possibility of an improper vaccination (Dr Google strikes again! ). Gym niggles never take me more than a few weeks to get over. And it came about after I'd just had my shot.
Just hope it goes away sooner rather than later. Is damn annoying, restrictive and uncomfortable. If it is vaccine related then, currently, I wish I never took it.

That's a word that keeps popping up. Which can also be jab related. 2nd jab I had no reaction at all, no soreness in the area, nothing. Also noticed the first jab was administered weirdly high on my arm compared to other jabs I've had, but wasn't particularly worried. Again, Dr. Google, warns about this (damn you Google).
Ho hum, just have to wait and see. No left-armed shoulder workouts, back scratches or arm raises for the time being. Not the end of the world I guess. Suck it up, Lost.

Hopefully it's not a torn rotator cuff. I've had my shoulder operated on 4 times for it and, despite some good drugs, it's no fun!! Good Luck!!

Quick clarification request, HD: when you say to raise the shoulder, do you mean to raise it by shrugging the shoulders, or by extending the elbow away from the body (where it rests naturally when sitting for a jab)?

It would be handy if those posting on here referring to having 'shots' could specify their vaccine plan(which vaccine and whether they were mixed)

As well it should. The symptoms are pretty much spot on and, like it or not, the easiest answer is often the correct one. I've had the same. I could hardly raise me beer glass with my right sooooo - I switched to me left and with that and a drop of ibuprofen all became right in a couple of weeks. As the Doc says " if it hurts, don't do that" They are clever. It has shown itself again from time to time in a minor way but when it does "I don't do that " and with a drop of ibuprofen as needed . . .
My daughter tells me that on Thai News this morning it was said that Sinovac will soon be exhausted and there are no plans to purchase more. The emphasis now will be on AZ and Pfizer.

Now they are really pushing hard with their vaccination program Barely 10 days since I registered and already received an email with an appointment next week. Now and I know it can seems a bit picky and mention this but on the form I have to pre-fill it is written in black and white on this consent form that I accept being registered in tracing application when you are in some places. All right no problem but I do not have a phone with any app system but having said that I have no objections to buying a new phone even if its only for this purpose but then comes the question is it really necessary or can I live on with my 10 year old Samsung. It may seem old-fashioned but the phone was quite advanced when it was released which was about 2009 and yes works like a clock and I can even call the home country if so should be necessary and well a phone is just that for me.
